While my spirit was being released,
You, O' Friend, came in my time of need.
My life was floating away like a leaf,
That finally gave up on a fall tree.
Visions of loved one's passed before my eyes,
Soon darkness started to surround.
I quickly made my way to where time,
Nor the concept of it could be found.
The Light of Your Glory was all that shone,
It swallowed the darkness that engulfs life.
All of the sins that I had sown,
No longer took a place in my mind.
You stepped forward and reached out Your hand,
Willing to pull me out of that dark pit.
At this time You were the only friend,
Who could have given me such a gift.
O' how I neglected this friendship,
Before this very momentous occassion.
A relationship with the world I built,
I only cared bout' every sensation.
Alas! You, Oh Friend, finally brought peace,
To this very troubled and shattered heart.
All of my troubles seemed to suddenly seize,
When You gave me a brand new start.
