Though You didn't live in my life,
I read about You all the time.
Your journey was like no others,
In that You died for Your brothers.
You came for only one purpose,
And lived a life of a servent.
Yet, You left us a perfect example,
Of how to live during daily battles.
Your Words were saturated with Love,
That could only come from Heaven above.
Teaching the Way, the Life, and Truth;
Of how our lives should produce fruit.
On Your life were many threats,
Yet, not once did you fret.
You carried on as You were asked,
Completing all of the required tasks.
O' when I think of Your end,
It brings sorrow and sadness.
You took all of that pain for me,
That one day I can finally be free.
I thank You for the life You gave,
I shall not let it be in vain.
Because, one day I shall see,
You face to face across that deep sea.
