Scorpius woke up the next morning, his body stiff and aching. He rolled over and groaned feeling groggy. He looked like he had been run over by a truck, his face pale and tired. His hair, all over the place and his body shaking. Standing up, Scorpius felt a sharp pain shook through his stomach and he felt so dizzy he might fall over. He opened his mouth, it felt incredibly dry and he felt like he was losing his voice. Scorpius fell back onto his bed, lying on his back, sprawled amongst the sheets. It was 10 minutes before Draco came up to check on him. When he knocked on the door, Scorpius groaned and shifted around on the bed. Draco took this as a 'come in' and walked right in, eying Scorpius warily. As soon as he got closer, he saw how bad Scorpius looked.

"Scorpius? Are you feeling alright?" Draco asked, sitting on the bed next to his son.

Scorpius shook his head, only to wince at the pain.

"Stay home." Draco said, looking down at Scorpius. "I still have to go to work, but I will get home as soon as possible. I'm sure Albus would come over and check on you."

Scorpius rolled over as soon as his dad left the house and grabbed his phone to text Albus.

Albus: Where are you?

              Are you ok?

             Scorpius?

Scorpius: I'm sick

                    Sorry :(

Albus: Aw that's no good.

Scorpius: Can you come over after school?

Albus: Yeah of course!

Scorpius: Thank you

Scorpius put his phone back down and tried to get back to sleep, his head pounding. He tossed and turned all day in his bed. He stopped and sat up, looking out his window. He saw his father's car pull up in the driveway. How long have I been trying to get to sleep? He wondered. He curled back up on his bed and this time, he was able to get to sleep. Draco came upstairs to check on him and when he saw that Scorpius was asleep, he closed the door and left him alone.

Albus came straight to the Malfoy's house right after school. He walked up to the door and knocked hoping someone could open it. Draco opened the door and told Albus that Scorpius might still be asleep. Albus said it was ok and headed up quickly to Scorpius' bedroom. He opened the door and saw Scorpius sleeping. Albus didn't want to disturb him so walked over and sat on the black desk chair that sat in front of Scorpius' desk. After a few minutes of looking out the window he noticed that Scorpius was starting to wake up, so he went over to the side of his bed.

"Albus?" Scorpius mumbled, half asleep.

"Hey Scorpius, how are you feeling?" Albus asked, sitting cross-legged on the ground next to the bed.

Scorpius shrugged. He was definitely feeling better after a sleep, but he was still a little disorientated. He reached for Albus' hand and when Albus noticed, he grabbed onto the blonde boy's hand and squeezed it. Scorpius smiled weakly, squeezing back a little. He nearly fell asleep holding Albus' hand but decided against it.

"Albus are you mad at me?" Scorpius asked quietly.

"No. Should I be?" he replied. Albus looked up at Scorpius, confused.

"I don't know. You just seemed mad yesterday. I didn't know if it was because of Polly or if you were just annoyed with homework." Scorpius said with a shrug.

"oh." Albus said softly. "I mean, I was annoyed and confused when Polly came in but, I guess it was mostly homework."

Scorpius let out a slow breath of relief. Albus noticed.

"It's pretty hard to be mad at you. It's not really your fault." Albus smiled, though inside he had been a little jealous, the way she looked at him. "You were just too nice."

"Is that a bad thing?" Scorpius asked.

"No." Albus said shaking his head. "Not in my eyes anyway."

Scorpius yawned and closed his eyes for a moment. Albus sat next to his bed, not letting go of Scorpius' hand. After a while, he took out his phone and checked the time. It was getting late and he had to be home for dinner. Scorpius was only just awake but felt Albus' hand leave his. He yawned and looked up at Albus.

"I have to get home now Scorpius." Albus said.

"No, please don't go." Scorpius said sadly.

Albus brushed the hair away from Scorpius' face and looked into his eyes.

"I'll be back tomorrow. I promise." Albus said and Scorpius sighed, nodding weakly in agreement.

"Get better Scorpius." Albus said walking over to the door. "I love you."

Scorpius fell back into a deep sleep and didn't wake up until the next morning.
