(Real quick, h/c means hair color!! ^^)

You squint your eyes at light that hadn't been present before you had fallen asleep. You sit up, soon realizing that your neck was throbbing from sleeping on the hard couch. You sigh, throwing off the blanket you'd slept under and standing up. Before you'd headed off to sleep, you put yourself in more comfortable clothes, those being shorts and an oversized t-shirt. You enjoyed oversized clothes, if you couldn't tell.
You trudged into the kitchen, still not fully awake yet. You wondered if you should make breakfast, shrugging it off and getting out materials to cook anyways. You then started making eggs, because you weren't feeling very creative.
You pour the eggs you'd just whipped up into the pan. You were still half asleep, so when you felt a pair of hands wrap around your waist from behind you just leaned back into the taller figure. You find Stephen look down at you and giggle. Your face turns red and you lean back forward, continuing to make the eggs hastily.
"Did you forget I was here?" He mused. You let out a snort of contempt.
"..Maybe, but whatever. I'll share my
food." You start to wake up a lot more, becoming more teasing. "I lost my appetite after seeing your ugly face!"
Stephen chuckled. "Wow, slow burn."
You finish up with the eggs, putting them onto a plate and hand it to Stephen.
"Get another plate and split it, evenly." You order. You feel a small rush of short-lived pride as Stephen obliges. You sat at the table, resting your head on your hands. All of a sudden, a plate slides by your elbows on the table and Stephen takes a seat with his own right across from you. He copies your pose dramatically and you giggle, picking up your fork and eating a bite. The morning sun filtered in from the window by you and onto the small table, warmth pouring from it. Stephen looks down at his plate after taking a bite.
"Thanks." He mumbles.
"What?" You question, rightfully puzzled.
"For this. I would have gotten sick if it weren't for your kindness." He looked up, his eyes filled with an emotion he rarely shows—gratitude. You smile warmly. You open your mouth to reply, but Stephen continues. "You took me into your house, let me borrow your clothes, let me sleep in your bed, and shared your food with me. I really owe you a lot, huh?"
"No! You don't, really! I'm just being polite."  You stammered. Stephen's smile disappeared, but in some sort of a good way. He leaned closer just a bit.
"Come on y/n, you and I both know that this is more than polite. Please, let me repay you somehow." He murmured. Your face grows pink and you feel your ears burn. He's so kind, this isn't like him. He's usually cocky and narcissistic, but right now he's pure kindness and appreciation.
"Okay, well maybe we can get dinner? Something cheap, though. Nothing expensive. I don't want you paying much." You suggest.
"So, like a date?" Stephen smirked. Of course, he was right back to his self-centered nature. You snort.
"It's whatever you think it is, I guess." You say in almost a challenging tone, getting out of your seat. Before you leave the room, you see that Stephen's face was red. You try not to let out a small giggle.

You decide it's time for him to leave. You take the washed clothes out and hand them to Stephen. He smiles and goes to take the yellow hoodie off to give back to you, but you put your hand on his chest lightly.
"Keep it." You tell him.
"What?"
"It... It looks good on you."
He smiles, wrapping up the clean clothes in his arms. You stared into his golden eyes until he finally broke away, heading towards the front door and putting on his shoes. You silently wished that moment had lasted just a bit longer as you grab a new outfit to wear on your walk to Stephen's house. On your way upstairs, you hear Stephen's voice sound from below.
"Y/n, where you headed off to?" He called.
"Getting some suitable clothes. This shirt is so big it looks like I don't have any pants on! And it's cold!" You call from above, listening for Stephen's reply as you continue walking up the stairs much slower now.
"You have pants on?" He joked. You giggled and sped up the rest of the stairs and off to your room.
You started putting on some black winter pants and a pastel purple hoodie and tied up your h/c hair into a bun (unless your hair is too short to do that) and headed back downstairs. Stephen's face lit up at the sight of you.
"Great, you're here! Let's go." He rushed. You laugh and exit your home, walking with Stephen to his house so you can drop him off.
