You clung close to Stephen making sure you didn't get wet. You really didn't want to get a cold, especially when it's almost Friday and you plan to hang out with your new friends. It's silent for a good two minutes.
"I'm gonna kill you if your house is farther than mine." Stephen joked, a grin plastered onto his face.
"It shouldn't be." You reply, looking up at him. His golden gaze looked beautiful. He turned to you.
"You enjoy admiring me?" He teased. Your face becomes pink as you quickly turn away. He laughs at your embarrassment. "It's okay, I know I'm the best. Admire all you want~"
"Y-You wish." You muttered, stumbling on your words. Just great.
Stephen noticed this, laughing some more. His laugh is adorable.
"Your words of defiance don't match your tone." He teased, nudging you a bit. Your ears burned from how red they were.
"Whatever." You tried brushing off the embarrassment, but your face remained pink as he wrapped his arm around you. His other hand was holding the umbrella. You felt warmer than before, silently thanking him in your head. You leaned into it shamelessly and you heard Stephen's breath hitch slightly. His fingers quivered. He's flustered too. You thought proudly. You got him back.
The two of you kept walking, getting to know each other better. This was nice. Just the two of you chatting. The rain didn't feel as depressing, but rather uplifting and calm.
