I looked at the clock and it's already 11:11 in the evening at New Year's Eve.
I closed my eyes and wished silently in my head. I always believed that when you made a wish at exactly 11:11, your wish will come true.
Everybody is excited for the coming New Year. While me? I don't know if I would celebrate New Year or not. All I know is I don't want New Year to come. I never want to celebrate New Year.
New Year means a new start. New Year is the day that I was born. My mother died at New Year when I was celebrating my 10th birthday. My father died at New Year because of car accident when I was celebrating my 13th birthday. My grandfather dies at New Year because of heart attack when I was celebrating my 14th birthday.
Since the, I considered that New Year is a curse day for me. I looked at the clock and it's already 11:30 in the evening.
Everybody was busy preparing fr the coming New Year. My New Year Resolution is for me to grant my own wish. Now that I'm turning 18 when the clock strikes midnight. I'll be at my legal age, and I can do what I want.
I went to my window and looked at the sky. The moon was shining brightly and there were many stars. I can see some fireworks exploding up high. Are my family watching me from above? Can they see how miserable I am?
"Don't worry mom, dad, grandpa. Just wait, I'll be with you guys" I whispered.
I looked at the clock and it's already 11:57, 3 minutes before New Year. I guess it's time to make my wish come true. I picked up the rope and the chair. I placed the chair at the middle of my room. I tied the rope tightly on the ceiling. I'm just waiting for the cue.
10 seconds before New Year and I can hear then people outside counting down.

"Happy New Year!!!" I heard the people shout as I saw the fireworks exploding beautifully at the sky.
"Happy birthday, happy New Year, and congratulations self, you did it" I said to myself before finally closing my eyes.
My wish was to celebrate my birthday, with my own family.
