"Okay, so there's conduction, convection and radiation." Luke pauses looking up at me from his papers as if needing permission to go on. I nod, signaling for him to continue. He continued explaining the definitions to me and he seemed to understand it, but every few seconds I could see his eyebrows furrow slightly in confusion. "Was that right?"

"Perfect." I say smiling at him. He was visibly tense and I could tell he was relieved when he relaxed his shoulders and let out a long breath that he was holding in.

"That took way too long. I never wanna do chemistry ever again." He says slamming his notebook shut and shoving it in his bag. "Not unless I can light shit on fire."

"Well it probably wouldn't have taken so long if we hadn't been procrastinating every twenty minutes."

"True, but you can't deny that the pizza was fucking great. I think I've eaten at least twelve slices."

"Yeah, and don't forget how I whooped your ass in Racer's Paradise." I add teasingly, referring to the arcade game the pizzeria had in a small room next to the dining area.

"Hate to break it to you, Z, but I let you win." He says propping an elbow on the table and raising an eyebrow at me.

"Maybe you could use that excuse when you aren't half a million points behind, loser."

"Whatever, Zia." Luke says rolling his eyes with a grin on his face and crossing his arms in defeat.

I couldn't help, but giggle at his childlike competitiveness. I was having a really great time with Luke and there were absolutely no interruptions from anyone. Most likely because my phone died within 45 minutes of arriving. Now that I think about it, I bet Calum is probably losing his shit right now, but I didn't really care. This little date with Luke was nice because I really, really like him and I'm hoping he says something soon because there's always this weird tension whenever we're around each other and it only grows thicker the more and more we hide our feelings. I'm suddenly pulled from my thoughts by Luke's face, his eyes staring straight into mine. A smile spreading across his lips, giving me butterflies.

"Hi." He says, breaking the quaint silence between us.

"Hi." I return. For a few more seconds, though it felt like minutes, we did nothing but smile and stare at each other. It was like we were conversing through telekinesis. My attention then shifted from Luke to the windows behind him. "Oh, shit."

"What?" Luke says, turning in his seat. "Oh, I didn't realize it was getting that late."

"What time is it?" I ask putting my things back in my bag hurriedly.

"Uh, 8:40." Luke says, somewhat cringing at the time before putting his phone back in his pocket.

"Oops." I say with a chuckle.

"I can't believe we've been here for four hours." Luke says dragging out a long sigh.

"Well, it's been a great four hours." I smile sweetly at Luke as I got up from the booth, putting my bag over my shoulder.

"Yeah." He says smiling sheepishly and getting up from his seat to stand in front of me. "Especially when I got to spend it with you."

I looked up at him with a small smile on my face and I could see his cheeks start to turn a light shade of pink. "Let's get out of here before it gets any later. Calum's already probably pissed off that I haven't showed up yet."

"He'd be even more pissed if he knew you were with me." Luke said looking over at me with a smirk on his face as we walked out of the restaurant to the car.
