   LINDSEY DUNBAR

We were in physics class, I was actually falling asleep on Liam's shoulder while Mr. Douglas did whatever physics teachers do. I got startled by someone coughing, I quickly sat up. "What? Who died?" I asked, "No one. Mr. Douglas is just coughing," Liam told me. "Aw man," I said kind of disappointed that we were still in class and not doing anything actually interesting like solving supernatural mysteries, "Are you okay, Mr. Douglas?" Hayden asks the teacher.

"Just a little cough," Mr. Douglas says, then he continues to teach. I roll my eyes and lean my head on Liam's shoulder again, "You should probably pay attention, Lin," Liam whispers. "I am paying attention, I have werewolf hearing. I can hear anything," I whisper back as I close my eyes, next thing I know Mr. Douglas went inside the supplies closet and slammed the door shut. I could hear him coughing and gasping for air, Liam stood up and walked over to the door.

"Mr. Douglas?" Liam called out, no answer. "I would think he's dying, what about you?" I ask Hayden, she looks at me annoyed and ignores my question.

Okay, seriously I swear someone used to ignore me like that whenever I make a stupid comment. I just don't remember who!

I was in the library with Scott and Lydia, they were telling me about how they feel like they are missing someone. How we are all missing the same person, and how Lydia wrote 'Stiles' when she was doing some Banshee thing. Scott looked up the word 'Stile', "Stile, an arrangement of steps that allows people, but not animals to climb over a fence," Scott reads out the definition. "Yeah, somehow I don't think these are the stiles we're looking for," Lydia says, "Maybe Malia found something," Scott said. "No. She's been taking a make-up test all morning," Lydia told him, then I got a text saying that there's a party.

Then we hear howling, "Guess the test isn't going well," Lydia says and we all stood up and walked out of the library. We end up in a room with spare chairs and desks, Scott and I go in and found Malia in her coyote form in the corner growling at us.

"Malia, it's okay. You're safe," Scott tells her, "I'm not gonna hurt you," Scott says. Malia growls again, "I think she's calming down," Scott said. "Uh, you sure about that?" I ask, "Maybe you should growl back?" I look behind me and see Lydia, Ms. Martin, and the sheriff. Malia's growl intensifies, "Scott you're the Alpha. Can't you make her a little more docile?" the Sheriff asks. "She's not the problem. We are. This is her territory, maybe we need to get out of here," Lydia says, then we stand behind a shelf.

"Malia came here to get through the full moons. Then we started using the lake house," Lydia explained, "I thought you said a wild animal got in the lake house," Ms. Martin questioned. "Just be happy about all the things I don't tell you," Lydia tells her mom, we heard growling.

We all look back and see Malia turn into her human form again, "It's alright. I'm okay," Malia reassures us. Ms. Martin then walks over and gives Malia her clothes to change back into, "any idea what made her shift?" asked the Sheriff. "She's under a lot of pressure. School, her life after graduation," Scott explained, "Her mom trying to kill her," Lydia added. "But that shouldn't make her shift. Could it be connected to Stiles?" Scott asks, "Hard to tell since we don't know what a 'Stiles' is," Lydia said.
