17. Idiot

Scott's house got shot up. Argent, Mason, Lydia, and Melissa were the ones who were hurt. And Liam hasn't been talking to me all day, which just makes it even better.

We were at school, and I've been kinda skipping all of my classes. I suddenly see Liam grab Gabe and push him into the locker room, I stood outside and focused my hearing. "I don't know anything. I swear. I don't know what happened at Scott's house," Gabe says, I hear growling. "Did you know who was there? Did you know Mason was in there?" Liam asks, "No, I didn't know anything. I don't know anything," Gabe says.

I hear Gabe grunt in pain, "Maybe you haven't noticed lately, but I've been having trouble controlling my anger. When things happen to my friends, I just can't seem to help it," I hear Liam say.

I look up and see Theo walking over, "Theo? What are you doing here?" I ask him. "Trying to make sure your brother doesn't kill anyone," he tells me, "Me too," I reply. I see him open the door slightly but I stop him, "You think that's a good idea? After what happened last night?" I ask. "What, you're just going to let him kill the kid?" Theo asks, I sigh. "Fine, go in. Don't say I didn't warn you if he tries to kill you too," I tell him, he smirks and goes in.

"You think we're all killers? Maybe we should be," I hear Liam say, "You're really gonna kill him? I mean, I don't care if you do. But, have you thought this through? Any idea where you're gonna dump the body? No one saw you grab him, did they? Cause that could be a problem," Theo tells him.

"I don't care," Liam says, "I don't care either. But at least let me help. I'm the one with experience here. If we kill him, we'll have to find the witnesses and kill them, too. Which means we're gonna need shovels, some plastic bags, maybe a chainsaw..." Theo lists off. Then I hear a thud, "You made your point," Liam says. "And you didn't kill him. That's progress," Theo tells him, "Why do you keep trying to save me? You think it'll make Scott forget about everything you did and just let you into the pack? Scott's never gonna trust you," Liam says.

"You might want to remember what Scott's goal has been all along... keep people alive," Theo tells him, that's when I go in. "He should try harder," Gabe says, we all look over at Gabe on the floor. "What are you talking about?" Liam and I ask, "You don't know, do you?" Gabe asks as he sits up. Liam looks over at us then back at Gabe, "Know what?" Theo asks him.

Gabe stays quiet, Theo then grabs him and pushes Gabe's face onto the already broken and bloody mirror. "About the other bodies," Gabe finally answers, "What other bodies?" Liam asks.

Gabe ended up showing where the other bodies were, which was in a freezer. Gabe opened the freezer revealing three bodies, "Does the teacher know about this?" Theo asks. "That's the teacher," Gabe responds, "That's great," I say sarcastically. "Unless there's a gun in there, too, this isn't helping us find the shooter," Liam says, "Why'd you hide these bodies?" Theo asks. "We didn't want to get caught," Gabe replies, "Caught doing what?" Theo asks.

"Testing them. To see if they were werewolves. And they were," Gabe says, I crossed my arms. "Just like you tested Corey?" Liam and I ask, "But we didn't kill them. Look at their faces. Something else did that," Gabe tells us.

We look at the bodies, "The Anuk-ite," Theo says. "The what?" Gabe asks confused, "Why would it want to kill anyone? It feeds off fear. Dead people are afraid," Liam says. "Maybe the killing is just a by-product," Theo says, "For what?" Liam and I ask, "Of it looking for its other half. Which means it's looking for a supernatural creature. Someone like us," Theo explains.

"So these three could have been werewolves," Liam says, "Just not the ones that the Anuk-ite were looking for," I finish for him. Theo looks over at Gabe, "Which means you've been helping it," Theo closes the freezer. "Idiot," shot Theo, "If these two don't kill you... I'll kill you myself," I say angrily. "I- I don't even know what you guys are talking about. I was just helping Aaron. It was his idea to test everyone," Gabe tells us, "Who's Aaron?" Theo asks.

"He's on the lacrosse team," Liam answers, "And he's just a freshman. I never liked him..." I say. "Aaron didn't want to find more of us. He wanted to find his other half," Liam said, "He's the Anuk-ite," Theo says looking over at us.

Scott and Malia close the freezer, "It's a bad day for finding bodies," Malia says. "There's gonna be a lot more if we don't find Aaron's other half," I say, "Which we know nothing about," Theo adds. "We do know one thing. We know it's a werewolf," Scott says, "We need to find this other werewolf right now," Liam tells him. "Preferably before they merge," Theo adds, "Which means immediately," I say.

"What happens if they merge?" Malia asks, "I don't know, but I got a feeling that it's not going to be good," Scott responds. "Any chance you got to put together that army, Scott?" Liam asks, "You're looking at it," Malia replies.

"Let's hope this thing doesn't feed off desperation, because this room reeks of it," We turn around and see Peter dirtied up with a wheel in one hand, "What happened?" Scott asks. Peter picks up the wheel, "Hunters. Destroyed my perfect automobile. So, if this thing had anything to do with it, I'd like to see its demise is appropriately painful," Peter responds and puts down the wheel. "I thought you had two cars?" Peter had another car part in his other hand and dropped it, "There's going to be hell to pay," Peter says.
