Chapter 1

Nicole's P.O.V.

I woke up to my annoying alarm blaring in my ear. I took my right hand and slammed my fist on the button causing it to stop. After about 5 minutes of just waking myself up I got out of bed and went to my bathroom. While I was brushing my teeth my mom walked in, "Good morning, do you need any laundry done before we leave for the lake?" She asked me. I nodded then spit in the sink. "Yeah, I'll bring my basket downstairs when I'm done getting ready," I said brushing my hair. After I was done curling my hair I took one piece and pinned it back. Then I threw on a pair of light washed Hollister jeans then rolled them up just pasted my ankles. I searched through my closet finding a maroon v-neck shirt and pulled it over my head. With one last look in the mirror then headed downstairs, with my basket on my hip.

"I'm just gonna set my basket in the laundry room for when the maid comes," I said putting it on the washer. "Okay, she'll probably be here after you get done with practice." "Okay sounds good," I said giving her a quick hug. With that I grabbed my back pack and headed out the door.

I did the pass code to our garage and when it opened I saw my black Mercedes Benz that I got for my 16th birthday. I took my backpack off my left shoulder and put it in the back seat because I had to go pick up my best friend Callie.

After about 10 minutes I pulled up to her driveway. When she walked out the door she straightened her long blonde hair. She was wearing her black vans with her dark Hollister jeans rolled up to hear ankles. With a white v-neck, which made her look super tan. "Hey," she said pulling out her phone. "Hey, cute shirt, I like it," I said smiling at her. "Thanks dude," she said laughing a faint laugh.

We pulled into the school parking lot only to see all the basketball players practicing outside on the cement court. Callie's boyfriend ran up to her and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and pulled her into a hug. "Aw," I said sticking out my bottom lip. "I gotta get back to practicing," Alex said. "Okay, see you in Chemistry," she said giving him a quick hug. Then with that he went off. "You guys are really cute, you know that right," I said walking towards my locker. "Yeah I think we are too," she said smiling at the ground.

I was grabbing my algebra binder when all of a sudden I turned around only to be bumped into by some guy. "Sorry, I didn't see you coming. I'm Austin," he said picking up my binder and handing it to me. "It's cool, thank you. I'm Nicole," I said giving a smile only to make eye contact with his hazel eyes. "I gotta get to class, I'll catch up with you later," he said giving me a smile then jogged off. "Ohhhh, you like him," Callie said laughing at me. "Oh, shut up," I said smiling while walking past her. "Tell all the girls that we have practice after school, don't be late," I said winking at her then continued to go to class.
