Our Unexpected Life 4

Chapter XIII

I reach upstairs, after taking about 5 minutes on the stairs themselves. I could feel Cloud’s gaze on me from afar, probably to make sure I didn’t fall down the stairs or something. I grab my pajamas which I decide on my fuzzy black pair of pajama pants and a dark blue long sleeve shirt that is a bit bigger than me, which I got for the pregnancy when I get a little bigger, I also grab a pair of gray undies since I kind of need them.

I put them on the counter in the washroom and look at myself for a few moments in the mirror, noticing that I look like crap, which is basically how I feel. I slowly peel off my long dark gray skirt that goes all the way down to my feet, it’s a little longer then my legs and then peel off my black tanktop. I then undo my black bra and drop my undies, I turn of the water and wait for it to turn warm, so I step back for a second.

At that second I feel another sharp pain start at my heart, which makes me fall on my knees again and then spreads down my back and around my stomach. This sensation is something I’ve never noticed or had before, it feels like someone is literally slowly tearing and slicing my skin open with a really sharp blade. I put my left leg up to see if I can stand up but just when I was in a crouch with my knees slightly bent, I black out. Again. 

Cloud’s POV (First of his yet!!!)

After sender her upstairs, I start thinking what I can do. There are many things running through my head right now. Will the mako running through my veins contribute to the pain she is going through or is it already? Can I even do anything to help her? Should I call the doctor who implanted the Jenova cells and mako into her? He did say if anything goes on that might be an effect of the implant to call him, since it could be a life or death situation… Is this a life or death situation for her? Will she make it- of course she will, she’s strong…I hope. I don’t know- I was just thinking then I hear a really heavy thud. 

I look up at the shower and don’t hear anything then get a really bad feeling. I bolt for the stairs, taking two at a time and make it to our room in no time. I go through and to the bathroom, opening than door.

“Destiny?” I say then see her collapsed on the ground completely bare, lying on her side.

I run over to her and pick her up a bit, putting my right around her shoulders and my other hand lifting up her side a bit then looking her over and see she is passed right out. Again? It was only about 10 minutes ago that she just woke up from her previous attack. I think, assuming that it was another attack of whatever is going on with her.

I see that she probably won’t be waking up anytime soon so I lay her back down gently then stand up and turn the shower off. Then I go into the room and pull back the blanket so I can lay her down and go back into the bathroom where I gently pick her up. I go into the bathroom with her in my arms and lay her on the bed, after doing that I notice the area where the implant was implanted and where her heart is, is all read and looks like its slightly throbbing, 

I take my glove off and gently place it on it and definitely feel another beat going on, which isn’t her heart cause I can feel it beating differently. Now I am confused and really worried, so I cover her up making sure she is comfy then I sit at the edge of the bed and pull out my phone.

I scroll through the contacts and decide to call the doctor so I can see if he’ll be able to help. After four rings, the phone is finally picked up.

“Hello?” he asks.

“Hey, it’s-“

“Cloud, right?”

“Yeah.” I say

“I was expecting a call from you.” He says and I feel my right eyebrow raise. “So, what is it you would like?”

“Well, we got a bit of a problem.” I say, looking over at Destiny seeing her sleeping form.
