About a half hour later, I hear the Fenrir pull up into the driveway then the similar sound of Zack’s jeep meaning they are both home and probably won’t like that he’s here. Which I was right, because once they came in, they saw the creature and tried to race in front of us.

“Stay back.” Zack says but Anna and I have both already stood up with our arms out, blocking them from getting closer.

“No.” I say. “He’s not like the others.”

“He’s different.” Anna pipes in.

“How?” Cloud says, looking at both of us as if we are nuts or have gone completely crazy.

“Because he helped us when you guys weren’t here.” I say.

“He protected us from another beast.”

“While you guys were gone fighting others, we were attacked by a bull beast then he came flying in and helped us.” I say sternly. “And look at him now, look what he gets for helping people like us. We owe it to him.”

“There’s also other things that are different as well.” Anna says.

“Like what?” Zack asks this time, both of them still tense from the beast even being in the room.

I look to the side, thinking. Ever since the wolf came, I’ve had an odd feeling about him, like something similar. A bond maybe? But how can that be, we’ve never seen him before…I wonder if one of us is connected to him like how the clones are connected to whomever they are cloned to. It would explain why the plate on his chest doesn’t have a face engravement.

“There’s just something about him.” I say quieter. “I can’t explain it, but we’re helping him!”

After Anna and I just turn back to the wolf and continue cleaning him up, cleaning the blood off of his fur. Then after a moment, I hear footsteps behind me and stop then a hand on my back. I look back and see Cloud beside me on my left, look down at the wolf then up at me.

“Is there anything I can do to help?” he asks.

“No.” I say with a smile, glad he understands. “I’m almost done.”

He nods then he gently starts petting the wolf’s head, looking at him in a bit of concerned.

“Thank you boy.” He says. “For helping us.”

Anna and Zack in front of us, on the other side of the wolf since she gave all the water and potion to the wolf. After a few more minutes, I finish.

“There.” I say, putting the cloth back in the bowl. “All done.”

I say and stand up, as well as the others do as well.

I then see the wolf open his eyes and lifts his head a bit, looking at the cuts but see that they aren’t there then he looks around. He gets up after a minute and he walks over to the open part of the floor where we were dancing a time before and stretches out his body and wings.

I see that his wings are like 6 feet long each when he does then he resumes his position with a shake, folding his wings back. He then looks up at us and I walk forward and kneel down in front of him and gently rub his head.

“You’re welcome to stay if you want.” I say, looking into his deep blue eyes, which look a lot like Cloud’s.

I have a feeling he understands what I said to him, and somehow it seemed he spoke into my mind saying ‘sure, he’ll stay’. It was like more of a feeling though, I didn’t actually hear his voice in my head, but his answer makes me smile.
