Madisons POV

I kissed his cheek, I actually done it, I thought that I would chicken out at the last second but I done it. He didn't call my name afterwards... does that mean that what he messaged me he didn't actually mean or what if one of his brothers or Layla stole his phone and decided to text me as a prank, oh god I really felt stupid at this point how could I be so stupid.

I was thinking about it so much I felt sick so I ran into the bathroom and threw up. I got my phone out and called my mum to pick me up. She said that she wouldn't be longer than ten minuets so I stayed in the bathroom stall until she came.

The holiday I just cane back from was horrible, my parents were arguing every minuet of it, my dad room my mums phone and found out that she was messaging some guy but it was her boss and she was messaging about work. My dad continuously drink throughout the rest of the holiday and all I hope is that we're back now and he'll stop before he hurts himself or hurts my mum when they're shouting at each other.

I went out the front of the school and got into my mums car.

"Want to talk about it?"

"No."

"Do you want to go out for today and do some girl bonding time?"

My mum never wants to spend time with me, when I ask to go out with her she usually ignores me or she's too busy with work, but I didn't want to go out because I know she was only trying to avoid my dad but she was using me to do that and that hurt that my own mum was using me but I weren't going to let her.

"No I don't, I just want to go home and go into my room and be alone."

"I know this last week has t been fun with you with your dad drinking and the fighting.."

"The last week? You've been fighting for years. And those text that you had with your boss I read them and I know that they weren't about a meeting they were about the affair that you were having. Why? If you don't love him anymore why are you still with him it doesn't make any sense."

"Because... well... I don't know."

"No you do t know, you don't know what you want at all do you? But while you're fighting with dad I'm upstairs with pillows against my ears hoping that it'll soon stop and we can just be a happy family because that's all I want is for all of us to be happy."

My mum looked at me and then carried on looking at the road driving, we spent the rest of the way home silently which I hated because I couldn't tell what she was thinking and I couldn't help her, she was having an affair, not only was she cheating on my dad but she was cheating on our family.

We got home and I got out of the car straight away and went to my room locking my door behind me, when I was sad I would usually count on Micheal to make me laugh but with what happened today things would be awkward and... and I didn't want that to happen with my best friend but I also wasn't in the right mind set to sort it out. So I just laid in bed and stared at the ceiling the I heard the door slam. The shouting match began.

Caleb's POV

I was back today after my month of suspension for "back chatting the teacher." But all I did was correct her on a mistake she made, she already didn't like me so I guess she could've said that I blew up the classroom to get rid of me.

As I walked into school I saw Layla's little brother in front of me. But before I could speak to him and asked is Layla was okay, I felt a whole bunch of eyes on me which would make it very awkward for
Me to stop him so I went to the place I thought Layla would be which was the library.
