Hi I'm Rosalyn Williams and I'm from a small town call Bromley. I'm African American and I have one younger sister Kat who is 9 years old. I love food, music, writing, and my biggest passion is ballet. I live with my mom, dad, and sister of course. I'm 19 years old and love Jesus. I attend church with my family and then it's just ballet and I. Miss Finley the ballet shop owner actually gave me a key since I go so much. I don't even have to pay.
Today is a great day,I just woke up on this beautiful Monday. Each morning I wake up I thank God for everything, pray, and ready Bible. Then I get ready for the day. As soon as I came out the bathroom Kat came running to me. She hugged me and said, "good morning."
"Good morning pumpkin, how did you sleep?" I asked her.
"Good,How about you."
"Great, hey about we take the whole day at the ballet shop."
"Yay, I can come with you?"
"Of course." I smiled at her.
We went in the kitchen and mom and dad was there. We told them good morning and they said it back. Mom cooked breakfast and we ate.
"So girls how about boat riding today?" Dad asked.
Kat and I looked at each other with a smile, "okay." We said.
"We can do ballet later." I said.
"Okay, how about you fix the snacks and I'll hook the boat up.
Dad went outside and Kat and I fixed sandwiches,Debbie cakes, water, and nuts. We go boating with Dad every weekend. Mom doesn't like the water really,so it's Daddy and daughter time for us. We pick a different spot most of the time. We got dressed and joined dad outside. Our nosy neighbors were outside so we spoke.
"Hi Mr.and Mrs. Hughes, how are you?" I smiled.
"Hi,were good, our daughter got accepted into Yale, you know she was valedictorian in high school and President." Mrs. Hughes said.
"I know, I'm so proud of her." I said.
"Yes so are we,if only you would have went a different route instead of taking interest in ballet, maybe you would be joining her." Mrs. Hughes said.Mrs. Hughes always compares me with her daughter and I really dislike it. Alicia and I were really close friends since middle school, but her parents pushed her away from me. I didn't fit that category they put her in. We still talked though, but then she became distant and followed her parents rules.
"Well Rosalyn is following her dreams, she got accepted into Julliard for ballet, not that it matters. She's just as special as Alicia. Don't talk about my sister again or I will punch you." Kat said.
They gasped and I tried so hard to hide my smile. Kat walked to the truck and got in. I followed and got in as well. Dad heard the whole thing and didn't get out because he would have caused more trouble.
" I swear they think they are better than everyone because of Alicia." I said.
"Well Julliard is calling your name ." Kat said.
"Thanks Kat,you're sort of tough for a 9 year old, even if you just told a lie." I laughed.
"Did you see their face,I thought they were going to faint." Kat laughed.
Dad laughed as well and so did I.
Mr. and Mrs. Hughes came from a rich family, but they stayed in the home town they grew up in so Alicia could. They donate every once in a while, but they are sitting on their money. They don't contribute to the town, but that's fine because once I become a famous ballet dancer,I'm donating for new things.
We headed to the lake and set up the boat. We got in and we were on the way. We stayed out for about 6 hours. We relaxed, ate, fished a little, but mostly relaxed.
When we returned home,I showered and went to the ballet shop.
