"Fall on me" A Matteo Bocelli story.

The chase

 " ROSALYN PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!" Kat cried.

" Kat,we are almost there." I said even though we were 30 minutes away. 

A little further down the road another car was coming towards us and they swerved in front of us. I was going to fast to stop,so I saw a path in the woods and swerved through there. I felt like I was in a movie,but then I realized I had two people lives to worry about,Matteo's and Kat!

   "I think we lost them." I said slowing down.

"Rosalyn,do you know where you are?" Matteo asked.

" Yeah,this road will take us to the other side of town. This is how most criminals get away really some times. They wanted to cover it up,but they never got to it."

   "Really?" Matteo said.

"Mhm." I said.

"Rosalyn,the other car that stopped in front of us," Kat said.

"Yeah,what about it?" I asked.

" Well,that was Mrs. Hughes car." 

"How do you know?"

"Because when you turned I saw it through the window" Kat said, "I never liked them."

"Well Kat,you will never see them again."

"They did bad things to me." Kat said.

I stopped the car and turned on the light. I looked at Matteo and then at Kat, "what do you mean?"

"Well I dropped Cubby when Mr. Hughes grabbed me,so I was two times as scared without him and then-" Kat got cut off because headlights appeared behind us.

I put the car in drive and drove off. It was two pair of headlights and I finally made it to the other side and realized we were far away from home,maybe like 2 hours. 

I didn't even call my parents to tell them we found Kat. I wasn't even thinking about that. All I was thinking about was getting to safety. 

They were coming closer,but I sped up. I was so scared and angry at the same time. Tears were racing down my face and my hands were shaking. 

"Rosalyn,you lost them." Matteo said.

My mind came back to the chase and as I looked to my rear view mirror,it was dark. I didn't stop I kept going and I told Kat to call mom and dad.

"I don't have your phone." Kat said. 

I handed her my phone and I heard the clicking of the numbers as she put it on speakerphone. Mom answered after 3 rings.

   "Hey Rosalyn,everything okay?" Mom asked,Kat was silent for a little bit, "hello?"

   "Mama." Kat said.

"Kat! Its you!" Mom screamed.

"Hey mom." Kat said.

"Sam,its Kat." Mom said,all of a sudden the phone hung up. 

"Mom,Mom?" Kat said, "I'll redial the number,umm it says no service." 

"Thats okay,we'll try again later." I said.

"Hey Kat what do you say when you get back I take you for pizza and ice cream?" Matteo offered

" Tomorrow yes, I just want to get in my bed." Kat said.

"Deal." He said. 

We were almost home, The speed I was going earlier really helped out on that. Now I was going normal speed. 

About five minutes later my phone ringed,guessing it was mom. 

" Its mom" Kat said, "Hey mom." 

"Sweetheart,you're okay." I heard dad say.

"Hey daddy!" Kat said.

"Hey Princess,where are you?" 

"Uhh, I don't know,I think we are almost home." 

"Really!" 

"Yes dad,Rosalyn and Matteo saved me daddy." Kat said,I could hear her voice cracking up.

" I'm so glad they did, I'm so proud of them and you for staying strong." Dad said.

" Sweetheart,we are so ready to see you, I'm sorry I didn't let you go with Rosalyn." Mom said.

"No I'm sorry,I was being a brat." Kat said.

"Yeah you were Kat." I told her. 

"Rosalyn." Mom said,

"I'm sorry." I smiled.

*40 minutes away

"Everyone was looking for you,they still are." Dad said.

"Well tell them to stop looking." Kat laughed.

I could hear dad yell, " SHE'S BEEN FOUND EVERYONE,KAT IS SAFE!" 

  Maybe found,but definitely not safe.

*What does Rosalyn mean not safe,are they still going to be after her sister? Why are they after her sister?
