We spent the night intimately close, even after we'd fallen asleep. When I woke the next morning, it was one of the most blissful things I'd experienced in a long time, due in no small way to the cool body entangled with mine. Loki had dropped his glamour in favor of keeping his clone on Asgard, but I wasn't complaining. Loki was still asleep beside me, so I readjusted my leg around his waist and pressed myself against him, hoping to have a few more moments of peace, but it was not to be. My movement caused him to stir and wake.

"Hello, my love."

"Morning." I raised my hand and traces my finger along his jawbone, "How the clone?"

"Still there, I may return there if Thor plans to travel to Asgard."

"He does. This morning, he's planning on going back, but not to stay. To travel."

"So he won't go past the Bifrost sphere?"

"I don't know, he might just to drop in on Odin." Loki winced.

"Which is exactly what we don't need. I'll rush back as soon as he leaves. He won't suspect a thing."

"There's my Trickster." Loki smirked, but only for a moment.

"We should discuss the future."

"Ok."

"I do not think it would be prudent of us to try for another child just yet." I bit my lip. He was starting with the difficult conversation right off the bat.

"I agree." I replied softly, "I've had some good time to think about it, and the last thing I want to happen is for me to be pregnant, or recovering, when the attack happens. It's just too big a time window to risk it."

"I am glad we are on the same page with that, and I know that it is not ideal, but it may work out for the better."

"Just...stop there. Please."

"Very well, conversation ended." There was a slightly uncomfortable silence for a few minutes.

"When do we return to Asgard?" Loki shifted uncomfortably.

"We don't. I want you to be happy, and I know you won't be truly happy on Asgard with me. I know you would rather be here, helping the team prepare."

"But I don't want to be without you."

"We may not have a choice, I cannot abandon my place as Odin." He was right, on both parts, but I couldn't be apart from him again.

"Then maybe I split my time, a week here, a week with you. I'm sure they'll understand."

"For now, I feel that is the best solution we have."

Vision suddenly phased through my closed and locked door.

"VISION!" I shrieked. Loki moved quickly, pulling the covers over our torsos to preserve my modesty. The android had the decency to at least look embarrassed, but not to turn around.

"Have you no sense?!"

"Forgive me, Thor said you would not mind–" We both groaned.

"I'm going to kill him." Loki hissed.

"Did he literally just send you in here to annoy us?"

"No, he wished me to get you. He is planning on returning to Asgard soon and wishes to bid you farewell." I buried my face in the crook of Loki's neck and sighed.

"Fine, give us a few minutes." Vision stayed exactly where he was.

"That means hover outside and give us to privacy." Loki clarified.
