The one with the joke

That night at dinner
Cole's pov

We arrived before Dylan and Emma, walking into the fancy restaurant at 7:12pm for dinner.

I was wearing a white button up shirt with dark jeans. Lily had a darker gray dress on that went down to her mid thighs. Her long legs bare, her arms covered to her elbows mid-length sleeves. She had a shawl hanging off her elbows, covering her stomach from the front a bit. She was a month and a half pregnant and she was keeping it concealed for a bit. This was so she could away from the prying eyes of the reporters since we were, after all, a Sencen and Vacker.

We walked into the restaurant, looking around for a moment. It was a dim, quiet place. The people dining here talking in hushed tones, not so loud. Each table was obscured by a white table cloth and a lit candle in the middle. The restaurant wasn't so bright, lit delicately with modern hanging lights above each table. There was soothing live music playing in one of the corners, a few men and women dressed well in suits and dresses. The three women played the violin, cello, and piano. The two men played a saxophone and a different type of violin than the girl.

I held up my elbow, giving my beautiful wife the crooked smile she loved on my lips. She rolled her eyes, blushing as she hooked her elbow with mine. I led her to the booth, not too far from the entrance.

"Good evening." I greeted the young lady behind the booth.

She did a double take from her paper at lily and I. I flashed her a world famous smile Dylan and I had, causing her to swoon.

"Good evening... Mr. and Mrs. Sencen." She gawked at us, bowing her head a bit in respect. "What can I do for you today?" She asked eagerly, looking at both of us.

"I have a reservation for dinner." Lily told her in a delicate voice, always polite and soft spoken because it was just her personality with others, but not with Dylan, Emma, and I.

"Under the name?..." The lady trailed off, looking at us.

"Sencen." Lily answered and she nodded, checking her papers quickly.

"Sencen, Sencen, Sencen... ah! Here you are!" The lady smiled up at us, grabbing a few menus. "Will anyone be joining you tonight?" The lady asked us, her hand hovering above the pile of menus. 

Just then I heard the restaurant doors open from behind lily and I. The lady's mouth fell open as she looked past us to see who had entered. Lily and I gave her strange looks, wondering why she was so surprised.

Before we could turn around someone hit the back of my neck with cold snow. I cringed as the broken snowball thrown at me slid down the back my shirt. I squirmed a bit since it was cold and lily stared at me, confused.

"4 menus please, we're crashing their dinner." My voice called from behind me and the lady dropped her menus in shock.

I let out a loud groan, turning around to see my twin brother as he talked in the voice we shared.

"Late, as usual." I raised an eyebrow at Dylan and Emma as they smirked while coming up to us.

"Early, as always." Emma teased as she walked past us, leaning in and giving my cheek a delicate kiss. "Hey Cole." She smiled at me as walked by with a brush of her hand through my silky hair, messing with it.

"Hey dyll." Lily smiled at my brother, unhooking her elbow around mine so she could reached her hand up, ruffling his hair before giving his cheek a peck.

"Hey lils, lookin hot." Dyll winked at lily and she grinned at him.

"Cmon." I rolled my eyes at Dylan and lily as emma went to ask the lady for our table.
