4. "you've received a message!"

"He has my number. He has my number. I can't believe he has my number." Maddi thought as she paced around her room.

She sat down on her bed and checked her phone for the millionth time.

"Why am I like this? Am I always gonna be like this when I like someone?" She decided to stop checking her phone and make herself some lunch.

After she was done, she went upstairs and checked her phone again.

"A text! A text! I got a text!"

She quickly opened it.

"Hey Maddi:)"

It was Cam. As her excited attitude quickly changed to a disappointment, she replied to her.

Maddi and Cam would text just about every single day. They'd let each other know what's going on, especially since Maddi wanted to know how everything in school was going.

Cam invited her to go to the mall, and Jo as well. After all, they wanted to enjoy their Saturday. Today's not the day to do homework.

They met up at the mall and looked around for good sales. Cam loved shopping at the mall and would buy everything if she could.

"Oooh, look at that! I wish I could buy that."

"Man, that's a nice outfit. I want it!"

Cam said as they walked around a clothing store. They weren't as rich as many people, so they had to look carefully to find a good buy.

Cam was probably the richest out of the three, but she saved the money herself. Jo was the next richest one, and Maddi was last. Jo and Maddi wanted to save their money for something they really wanted, so they had a good eye and searched for the best sales.

At the first store, Cam already bought a jacket she liked. The next store they went to had cheaper prices, so Maddi was hoping to buy something there. They were good prices, but not for Maddi. She didn't have enough money. Jo found something though. She bought a really cute blouse that was on sale.

"Maddi, aren't you gonna buy anything?" Jo asked.

"Uhm, maybe at another store. We still have the whole mall to explore anyways." Maddi replied.

"Hey guys, wanna watch a movie?" Cam said excitedly.

Maddi and Jo's eyes lit up.

"Of course!"

They ran to the theater and chose the new movie they've all been dying to watch. They bought their tickets and hurried like little kids to take their seat.

The movie didn't start yet, but the three of them were already hyped and crazy. They were talking loud in the theater and shouting ridiculous things to the ads playing. They laughed hard and had fun.

They wanted to get some popcorn and a drink since it was taking so long. Maddi volunteered, they added up their money, and she walked out to buy them.

"Man, the prices here are ridiculous!" she thought to herself.

As she ordered, she watched as the lady scooped the popcorn into the bag.

"I am so hungry." Her stomach growled as she watched.

The lady handed the popcorn and soda to her as did Maddi hand over the money.

She ran, hoping the movie didn't start yet, and looked down at the popcorn the make sure it won't fall. Then, she bumped hard onto someone. All the popcorn flew in the air and made a mess. Her drink spilled on the floor, too, and wet her shirt a bit.
