Leo set an alarm in morning, so he could have a chance to see Maddi before he leaves.

He woke up and headed straight for the hospital.

He went to her room and saw a nurse giving her a some medicine. Maddi was sitting up and looked healthier than she did yesterday.

The nurse saw him and motioned to him to come in.

"Good morning." the nurse said.

"Good morning." he replied.

"Are you a friend of Maddi?"

"Yes, ma'am."

Maddi began to talk.

"This is my boyfriend, Leo." she said with a smile.

"Oh I see." the nurse smiled a bit then started walking out. "Well, I'll give you two some time."

The nurse walked out while Leo walked towards Maddi.

Maddi started getting out of the bed, when Leo stopped her.

"No, no. You should stay in bed." he said putting the blanket back over her.

She smiled at him, "Leo, I'm better now. I have enough strength to go to home today. Yesterday was just a one-time thing. I doubt it'll happen again if I keep taking my medicine. Don't worry about me."

"Well, of course I'd worry about you! I don't want that to happen again."

"But I'm fine now. Come on, now, let me get out of bed. Please?"

He looked at her then gave in.

"Fine."

She smiled and quickly got out of bed and hugged him.

He looked in her eyes and smiled.

"I'm really glad you're better now. I'd hate to have to leave you while you're laying in a hospital bed."

"Oh yeah! I thought you're leaving today!"

"I am. But I wanted to see you first."

Maddi blushed.

Leo smiled at her, then looked at the clock.

"Come on, I have enough time to eat breakfast with you before I leave." he said as he grabbed her hand and started walking out.

"Okay. Let me change first."

After she changed, they went over to a little restaurant that was part of the hospital. The hospital was huge. It had a whole cafeteria with restaurants and little shops.

After they got their food, they sat down by the fountain and started eating.

"Maddi, I...I'm really gonna miss you."

"I'll miss you, too. But I'll be fine here, don't worry."

"You keep saying that, but will you? Really?" he said seriously as he looked at her with a concerned look on his face.

She noticed how worried he was and couldn't say anything. Deep down, she knew she wouldn't be alright. She just didn't want him too worry too much about her.

Leo looked at her and knew what her answer was.

"Maddi, I'll love you no matter what." He smiled sincerely at her, letting her know that even thought things are the way they are, he still loves her.

She looked in his eyes and fell in love with him all over again. She couldn't believe that even though she'll be gone in a few years, Leo still decided to love her. She would've felt all alone if he wasn't there for her.

After they finished eating, he walked her back to the hospital.

They went back to her room and paused for a moment, knowing it was time to say goodbye.

They looked each other in the eyes and began to speak.

"Maddi, don't give up hope. I know there's a miracle out there waiting to happen." Leo said.

She looked down and smiled, trying to believe that maybe there was some miracle about to happen.

She looked back up at him, and he kissed her. He turned around and started walking as he waved his hand.

"See ya later, Maddi." he said and continued walking down the hall, not wanting to say goodbye.

"See ya." she said quietly as she watched leave.
