My door swung open, Millie entered. "What if I was naked?" I asked in annoyance, rolling my eyes.
"Well it's a good job you weren't," she snickered in reply, "you know me, you know I can't knock."
"Well atleast make your presence known, then." I smiled at my bestfriend. Life was going great, I was just thinking what could possibly mess it up. Then my train of thought was cut.
"Oh my god, are you home alone?" Millie asked, alarmed.
"Well yeah, my dad is on vacation." I told her, observing her body language, she looked startled. Well then again, it was Millie, she was scared of flies.
"Are you sure he's not back early?" her voice drifted as she looked back at me.
"Uhh, yeah. Why? Is it a ghost?" I laughed at her. She then held a finger up her lips, signalling for me to be quiet. "What?"
"Shh! I think there's someone here..." Millie whispered, fear laced in her voice. Although I heard a few creaks, I rolled my eyes, figuring it was just the pipes. I got up and made my way over to my bedroom door, and swung it open.
"OH MY GOD!" I yelled, jumping back in fear. My fear soon faded to joy and I began to recognise the boy who stood in front of me. Jack immediately pulled me into a tight hug, "I've missed you so much." I mumbled.
He pulled away, "I missed you too." He had a huge smile on his face, one that I had missed. The last time I had seen Jack, was at the party. It was nightmare and we had a massive argument, then he disappeared when he went to visit his aunt in Canada. Whilst he was gone I realised how much I missed him, being his friend so I ended up reaching to him. We soon made up and were friends again.
"You plank, you scared the life out of me!" Millie cried, punching him softly in the arm.
"Nice to see you too, Millie." Jack chuckled. "So any drama?"
"Oh yes, Finn and Sadie kissed!"
My heart sank. Why did she just say that? I knew Jack wouldn't really care but I didn't want the whole world to know. My thoughts changed however as did Jack's face. He looked, slight annoyed?
"Oh right." he replied bluntly, placing his hands in his pocket.
"What's up with you? Jealous?" Millie joked, a smile on her face. A feeling inside of me felt he was slightly jealous, maybe because he didn't really trust Finn.
"No." he laughed it off slightly, and managed to quickly change the subject, "Anyway, you both ready for Jae's party tonight?" I had totally forgotten about Jaeden's birthday, I have no idea how, since we were once very close. I used to have the biggest crush on him in seventh grade, as most girls did until Finn Wolfhard and Noah Schnapp took the spotlight. Soon, memories of old crushes came flooding back to me, they were all so sweet and innocent, the polar opposite of Finn Wolfhard
