JUNE, 2017.
Wesley apologized. He called that same night and begged for my forgiveness. Being as I've been through this before, I accepted.
Yes, I agree.
I am an idiot.
I hadn't seen him, though. He never really flies out here and I didn't want to make a trip to London. I'd rather just stay here.
With him.
Ever since he showed up on my doorstep that May evening, we had been inseparable. It's like how things used to be. Like nothing's changed.
My parents were ecstatic to hear we were friends again. And my sister was bouncing off the walls when she found out we had been on speaking terms. Like I said, she was his biggest fan.
Blair was skeptical. She was glad to see I was happy again. Because being around Harry made me happy. But, she had that knowing look in her eyes. And when I asked her about it, she told me: "it's only a matter of time."
I don't know what she meant by that. I'm assuming she meant it's only a matter of time before we're not speaking again. But, I disagree.
It's different this time.
"You're cheating!" I shout across the room as my finger points in Harry's direction.
We're playing Twister at my parents' house and he's on a team with the twins. Against me and my parents.
"I am not!" Harry shouts back.
"Yes you are!" I cross my arms.
"Harold, you're literally using your hand to keep your foot in place." Mom crosses her arms as well.
"Dammit!" He hisses, collapsing onto my brother who groans.
"I wanna switch teams!" Francis grumbles, rubbing his back.
"Okay, fine." Harry surrenders.
"No, Harry you stay. Francis, you leave." Claudia snaps.
"Just admit you're in love with Harry and go." Francis rolls his eyes as he heads towards me and my parents.
Claudia looks down, turning crimson red. I watch as Harry places a hand on her shoulder.
"Thank you, princess." He grins at her.
He knows what he's doing.
Claudia blushes even harder and smiles to herself.
"Monie, go join Claudia's team." Dad says to me.
"But we're winning!" I pout.
"And I'm sure your flexibility will help them more." Mom points out.
I huff and walk over to the mat, narrowing my eyes at Harry.
"You're just afraid I'm going to do better than you." He taunts.
"Please, you can barely do a quarter of a split." I bite back.
He crosses his arms in defense, "I already told you we have different parts and it's harder for me!"
"Whatever, Styles. Let's get going." I grumble.
This round, Harry seems to be doing a lot better. It's almost as if he was doing bad on purpose so he could
get me on his team. But that's a stretch.
No pun intended.
"Okay, Mona, right foot at blue." Dad calls.
