NOVEMBER, 2017. CONT.
When Blair reminded me how ugly things got, I didn't listen. I frankly couldn't believe that things would get ugly. It felt like nothing could go wrong.
I should've stayed. Everything could have just been avoided if I had only stayed.
It all went downhill after one of Harry's shows. I was backstage checking my emails. When I saw one from my agent.
I sit up, reading the content, my eyes widening by the second. My heart was pounding.
Harry ran off stage to me, kissing me deeply and I jumped all over him in excitement.
"What's gotten into you?" He laughs.
"I got a part." I excitedly tell him.
His eyes widen in surprise as he holds his hands up.
"Wait, what?! For what?"
"A show called Euphoria. I'd be playing a huge role." I shake with absolute glee.
"Soleil! This is fucking amazing!!" He grabs my hands.
"I know! This could be it. This could be my big break. I could live up to my parents." I grab his face.
"You're going to be an actress, cherry girl. An actress!" He exclaims.
"I'll be your golden star."
"Oh, babe, you're already golden."
"I can't believe this is happening." I exhale.
"When do you start?" He asks. I hand him my phone and he reads the email, his smile fading. "Our wedding is supposed to be in October."
I try to keep a wide smile.
"I know, which is why I was going to ask if we could push it back." I nervously say.
"Push it back? Honey, October is far enough."
"Okay, then we can bring it forward. Make it earlier."
"I start tour in March again. That is barely enough time." He sighs.
"Okay, it's okay. We can figure it out." I quietly say.
The whole cab ride to the hotel is silent. I know he's upset. But I know it'll be okay. We'll figure it out.
Harry sits on the bed, reading through his messages. I pace the floor anxiously.
"Let's get married tonight." I blurt out.
He looks up at me, shocked.
"Tonight? Soleil, that's so soon."
I sit down on his lap, grabbing his face to look into his eyes.
"It's us. It's always going to be us. We can plan a bigger one after tour or something. All I know is that right here, right now, I want to marry you Harry. Do you want to marry me?"
A wide smile stretches across his face.
"Let's get married." He softly tells me.
It's a frenzy. Mitch and the others scramble around, looking for a place for us to get married while Harry and I go down the streets of Italy, asking if people are ordained.
It seemed like a stupid idea, but that didn't seem to matter. We're in love and we don't care. Nothing can stop us.
Fiona drags me away from Harry, talking about having to get me dressed. I try to protest and tell her I can just wear anything, but nothing I had packed was white.
