9 years earlier...

"You see these flowers, Dell?" Camellia said pointing at the plain yellow flower in front of their youthful eyes. They were in a cheerful garden surrounded by clear glass, the flowers looked about as if they were going to sing.

"So pretty, what's it called?" Dell asked staring at it. It didn't stand out, but it was enough, he thought so.

"Daffodil, it symbolizes hope and new beginnings." she smiled at him.

Dell grabbed one of the daffodils and put it in his top pocket, it was sticking halfway out. He ran towards his home, it was huge (it was also right in front of Camellia's). It was of three floors and it stood out among the rest with windows gleaming yellow. He ran in the house and showed his mother (Cheery) the flower, she simply smiled. His father (Averon) was still upstairs working.

Either-way he ran up the stairs to the third floor.

"My dear boy," his father immediately got up and hugged him, "since you are a well-trained little warrior now, I'll hand you a little treat." he brought him downstairs to the forbidden room, as he would always call it. The room was filled with entities on the wooden shelves, straight ahead there was a glass box, "Here lies the spirit of death. It cannot harm you in any way, he has been weak for decades or perhaps even centuries. Some say he's defeated the toughest dragons, or even tamed them." he pointed at the black orb in the glass box. It moved around as if it were water.

Dell placed his hand on the box.

"Oh, and the Kollers have come to pick you up. Don't worry it'll be just a month, father has been busy." his father said clapping his hands together.

"Right, we've been in here long enough." Averon rushed his son out of the room.

"Oh dear, we are so sorry we're late." aunt Kindy rushed in the house and picked up Dell (she's completely dissimilar in these days, she was a young woman and looked like someone of royal blood).

"We ran into quite the trouble on the road here. The lands are really reshaping themselves these days aren't they? Especially having this one near the great mountain eh Avy?" a tall man (uncle Tolfer) nudged his father.

"The lands aren't reshaping, they're just speaking in their own tongue. Anyways, you best not be harsh with my boy alright?" Averon laughed as he patted Tolfer on his back.

They got in a carriage with two white striped horses. Tolfer was the one driving it, while Dell and Kindy sat in back.

"Is the place we're staying in safe?" aunt Kindy asked.

"It's the village of la Lune, it goes back a long time, a very long time, and everything still stands. So it's nothing to worry about." uncle Tolfer said, "Although, I have heard of an unpleasant news roaming around town." he now looked stern.

They arrived at a smaller house, (it was only temporary as it was for guests of course). Dell kept his flower in place. The furniture was perfectly placed. Dell looked around the house in amazement, "How can such a house be so ugly yet so pretty?" he thought to himself.

"So Jolly-boy, what do you think?" uncle Tolfer smirked as he looked at the clean rooms.

"I dunno." Dell simply said.

"Hm, follow me." Tolfer quickly turned around and opened the backdoor, it was polished white and glittered with gold. Actually, the entire house was decorated with legends and drawings of dragons. Dell loved dragons. Dell followed him outside, it was a sunny day out, so sunny that the light almost blinded him. Uncle Tolfer threw a wooden sword on the grass beside Dell's feet. Tolfer took out his own, it wasn't a wooden sword, but a large stick. He slowly moved toward Dell with an innocent look, then suddenly with a hurried strike, he whacked Dell to the ground.
