It's the day of the wake funeral.
Besides his father's few coworkers, Nayeon expected nobody to come.
Brian helped her a lot with handling people, she bowed and greeted everybody. .
"Nayeon, dear, how are you holding up?" An Old couple asked her, she's not familiar with the two,but didn't not want to be rude.
"I'm ahh" Nothing came out of her lips
"Ahm she must be tired, thank you for coming and excuse us" Brian spoked to the two elderly as she drags Nayeon away from the room
"Here drink some water" the boy said as she push a glass to Nayeon
"Who are they?" Nayeon asked as soon as she finished the glass of water
"Ah it says here that they are the---" Brian trailed off
"Bri? who?" Nayeon asked trying to reach for the white envelope Brian was gripping on
"ah? Huh? Choi Family" Brian lied to the girl
"Choi? I don't know anyone that is a Choi" Nayeon frowned
"Maybe your father does" Brian remarked
"Should we go back inside?" Nayeon asked
"If you are up for it" Brian said and hid the envelope
with the written family name PARK
"Nayeon-ssi, Brian-ssi" Jin bowed to the two before paying respects to Nayeon's father
"When did you arrived?" Nayeon asked
"A few minutes ago, How are you?" Jin asked
"I'm okay, thank you for coming" Nayeon said
"Let's take a sit" Brian asked, more like commanded, the three did just so.
"I'll come back with some tea,excuse me"Brian then took a quick leave
"He's really something" Jin commented
"Yeah, it's weird since we were never close before, but as soon as... ahh he just started to cling on and help a lot during my dad started to get sick"Nayeon explained
"Oh is he still studying like you?" Jin asked trying to know the two
"Yeah, His into business, and is also graduating soon"
"Here you go" Brian, put the hot drinks in front of the two and took his seat beside Nayeon
"Aren't you busy with work today?" Brian immediately asked
"Well I took a leave so I can attend" Jin muttered shyly
Nayeon was taken aback since he doesn't really have a reason to.
"So, you two, how long have you been dating?" Jin suddenly asked which made the other boy flustered and the girl, well,shocked.
"We are not yet dating" Brian blurted out which made Nayeon even more shocked
"We're just friends, nothing else" The girl cleared
Jin who was embarrassed stayed quiet and tried to think of another topic to dive into.
"How many days will your father be here?" Jin asked again
"Just 2 days" Nayeon replied
"ohhh, Good thing I took a leave for 5 days" Jin informed
"Why?" Nayeon simply asked
"I'll stay here and help out and then we can continue cleaning my place up and groceries" Jin stated
"Ah can you talk about her work some other time, she still grieving you know" Brian spoke, clearly irritated at the man
"Forgive my disrespectfulness" Jin simply responds
"No, it's nothing serious Bri" Nayeon said as she gave both men a gentle smile.
