Eli falls head over heels for Hayley who is different from any girl she has ever met. Eli used to be the party type and mess around kind of girl. Hayley was an innocent and caring girl. Eli as much as she tries to stay away from Hayley, she can't. T...
So far everything was going good at Nick's. Everyone was very friendly and they loved Hayley. I couldn't stop smiling. I was happier than I ever could be. That was until I saw her. "Nick." I whispered in his ear. He took a sip of his drink, smiling. "I know. I honestly thought she wouldn't be here. There was another big party somewhere else." I was smiling as well. We didn't want to worry people. "Then why the fuck is she here Nick?" "Must have found out you were going to be here." I set my drink down. "Fucking great." I went to go get Hayley and go home. But I was intercepted by Liv. "Hey there handsome." "Liv." I tired to get around her. She grabbed my arm. I looked down at her hand. "Let go of me." "But I missed you. Where have you been? My bed has been lonely." She was hanging off me like cheap curtains. I grabbed her wrist and jerked it off my arm. "I have been busy. I also happen to have a girlfriend." "I won't tell if you don't. I like it rough Eli." She licked her lips. I could smell the booze coming off her. "You're drunk Liv, you need to go home." "Not unless you come with me." I looked across the room and found Hayley's eyes on us. She smiled at Gabe and then made her way over to us. She put her arms around my waist and laid her head on my shoulder. Then smiled at Liv. I kissed her forehead. "Liv, this is my girlfriend Hayley. Hayley, that's Liv." Liv gave a mean look. "So, you weren't kidding when you said you have a girlfriend?" "No. We've been together for awhile. I plan on keeping it that way." I placed my hand on the lower part of Hayley's back. Liv gave a vile laugh. "You'll be back Eli. She won't do anything for you." I went to go after Liv but Hayley held me back. I swallowed hard. "Liv, you need to go home. If you don't leave, I'll get security to take you out." "Whatever." She flipped her hair over her shoulder and left through the crowd. I let out a huge sigh, looking down at Hayley. She was looking up at me. "I am truly sorry Hayley." She smiled shaking her head. She put a hand on my cheek and brought me down to her, kissing me gently then deepening the kiss. I don't know how she wasn't mad but right now I wasn't going to question it. She was being so understanding and not getting mad. I rubbed my thumb over her cheek. "You ready to go. I'm getting tired and just want to spend time with you." She smiled and took my hand, leading us over to Nick and Gabe. We said our goodbyes and headed out. I was ready to get home and it be just Hayley and I. I could careless about being around anyone else. Hayley was my safe place. She put me at ease.
* It was Christmas morning. I was not ready for it. At least going to my parents. We decided we would go to Hayley's parents and then mine. Then we would come back home and have our Christmas together. I was being shaken awake. I opened my eyes and looked up. Hayley was dressed up ready to go. I wanted to just sleep. "I'm up. I just need to get ready babygirl." Hayley smiled and left the room. I got up and put on my best casual yet formal wear. I wanted to look nice for Hayley's parents and I had to look good for my parents. Or my father would have a cow. I sat there looking at myself in the mirror. I wish I could just hit the glass and break it. My reflection to myself was ugly. Probably because of all the things I done before and didn't know how to get over. Plus, seeing Liv last night didn't make me feel any better. Liv was something I used. She loved it but still, I used her. I was a sadist when it came to Liv. She could take all the pain I had to let out. Now, here I am with Hayley. Someone innocent and someone that would never let me basically leave bruises from how hard I went or how much I hit. I would never and could never do that to Hayley. She was too precious to me. I didn't need that anymore anyways. Hayley made me feel at peace. I hope she could make me feel at ease today as well. I will need it.
