After Saturday with Hayley, we hadn't texted all weekend. I was already missing her. But I was trying to take it slow because of her ex. They had just broken up and I didn't want to take advantage of that vulnerability.
I woke up to my alarm clock going off by my head. I slammed my hand down on it to turn it off. It was Monday morning. I didn't particularly like Monday's but since Saturday with Hayley, I have been waiting for it to come.
I got up and got dressed as quickly as I could. I put food in the cat bowl, grabbed my bags, and out the door I went. I was actually going to be early once in my life time. I was never early.
I waited in the car. I knew that she wouldn't be here for a bit. But I had to see her before work started. Twenty minutes went by and she pulled in. I got out and walked up to her.
"Pretty girl." She looked up and smiled.
"May I walk you in?" She shook her head yes.
We walked quietly in. I followed her to her office. She sat down getting started on her day. Hayley looked up and smiled. I grinned back.
I walked in. "So, this is your office?"
"Yeah." I leaned up against her desk.
She looked up at me. "I'm glad you let me walk you in. I have to go to my cubicle though."
I stood up and leaned down looking her straight in the eyes. "Don't miss me too much. See you at lunch pretty girl."
I kissed her forehead and walked out. I went and sat at my cubicle. I know I was giving her time. But I was going to make moves. I wanted her to know she was wanted. Not in a sexual way but in a endearing and caring and loving way. Which was so unlike me. But I liked her too much to be an ass to her.
By the time lunch rolled around. I had already made it to the cafeteria. I sat down and waited for Hayley. She is usually in here when I get here but the tables turned today.
When she walked through the door and saw me, she lit up. I was happy that seeing me made her light up the way she did. I could look at that innocent face all day long. Just cuddling her. She'd be my world if she would have me.
"How has your day been Hayley?" I greeted her with a kiss to the temple.
She got red. "Meh."
"That good, huh? Can I do anything to make it better?"
I watched her take her phone out. Then my phone dinged. You can give me your goldfish. 😁- Hayley
"Ah, well, just so you know. I brought them for you anyways. Good thing I had them." I gave the baggy to her. She hand gestured thank you to me.
"I am going to ask you to dinner." Hayley looked up at me while eating her goldfish with big beautiful brown eyes.
I chuckled. "Don't worry. It won't be just yet. But I'm going to. I can either cook for you at my place or we can go have a picnic. It's up to you."She smiled. My phone dinging again.
Your place...when you ask me on a date.- Hayley
"Alright. Sounds good. Now eat up. You need to have your tummy full in order to keep concentrating on work later." I bit into my sandwich as she nibbled on goldfish and ate yogurt.
When lunch was done, I threw away our garbage. Then headed back over to her. I held out my hand to help her up. Thankfully she accepted.
"I'll text you later Hayley. Don't give anyone a hard time." I winked at her and kissed her forehead.
As I walked off, so did she. Both of us blushing like crazy. There was one thing I knew. I was going to be in love with her. And I was already falling.
