I was very warm when I woke up. I looked over and Hayley was still cuddled into me. The alarm was about to go off in a minute. I turned it off before it could. Today was work day. I didn't want to go. The weekend was full of fun. Besides the fact her ex stalking me, us. I need to find the ex and talk to them. Because I wasn't having that shit.
I kissed Hayley's forehead. "Hayley, it's time to get up."
She grunted and moved closer to me. Her hand skimmed my stomach, her fingers cold. "We have work. Do you want to get ready first or me?"
She rolled over to the other side. I guess that was my que to get ready first. I showered quickly and got my things together. When I came back from the kitchen, Hayley was sitting up and looked not happy.
I sat on the bed at the end of her feet. "What's wrong?"
She crossed her arms. "Hayley, we cant work this out if you don't tell me what I did."
She grabbed her phone. I reached into my pocket to get mine. It dinged. You left me and I got cold. -Hayley
"Oh sweetheart, I had to get ready. I asked if you wanted to get ready first but you moved off me and so I thought that was my que to go first. You were sleeping so good."
You left me cold and alone. -Hayley
I started crawling up towards her. "What can I do to make it up to you?"
She laid there arms crossed. I hovered over her. We looked at one another. I leaned down and kissed her forehead, her cheeks, her nose, and her chin. I nuzzled her nose with mine.
"Hmmm, what do I need to do for the pretty girl to forgive me?" I bit her bottom lip and let it go.
Her breathing picked up. As did mine. "Should I keep up what I'm doing?"
She nodded her head. I smiled and pressed my lips to her lips. I craved her lips. Her taste and smell intoxicated me. I started kissing down her jaw to her neck, making my way down her chest and stomach. All she had on was one of my t-shirts and panties. I wanted her but it wasn't going to be until we were together. I kissed her right above her panty line.
I went back up placing a kiss on her forehead. "Come on, we have to get to work and you need to get ready."
I got up and put on my shoes. She threw the covers hitting me in the back of the head. Stomping off to the bathroom. All I could do is chuckle. I wanted her just as bad. It took everything in me just to stop.
I walked out into the living room. I looked out the window like I usually done some mornings. The car was sitting a couple houses down the block. I was going to confront them. But first I had to find a way to not have Hayley around to do so. I didn't want to upset her.
Arms wrapped around my waist. "I guess you're not that mad at me."
I turned around. Hayley looked up at me. "Ready for work? I even packed an extra thing of gold fish."
She kissed me quick pulling me along. I grabbed everything and we set out to work. I kept an eye on the car. I shielded Hayley as I helped her in the car. I put our things in the back and got in.
I kept an eye out on the way to work. Making sure the car wasn't following us. I really didn't want to make Hayley upset. I just wanted her to be happy. Not have to worry about this shit.I walked Hayley to her office. I kissed her forehead before heading out to my cubicle. We sent each other texts on and off throughout the morning. I couldn't stop thinking about her ex and stalking us. I got up and went straight to Ian.
I knocked, Ian looked up. "Hey Eli, what's up?"
"I need backup."
"Who are we beating the crap out of now?" Ian grinned. The thing was, I was awful back in the day. I got into a lot of fights. Ian was always there to bail me out or help me out. All I had to do was say the word and he was there. He loved fighting just as much as I did. I still fight but legally.
"I don't want to beat up anyone. I just need to have a serious talk with someone. Can you be there just in case something happens?"
"When do we leave?"
"Now."
He got up and grabbed his stuff. "Lets go do the thing."I went back to my house. The car was still there. I told Ian to park a few blocks away. Told him to go through the back of the house. He knew where I hid the key. I got out and went in. Of course, Ian would be resting on the couch and eating food.
"We didn't come to eat. Get up. I need you to stay in my room."
He gave me a confused look. "Why?"
"I want to talk one on one. But you'll be in there to hear all of it and be able to come and break up anything if it happens. Now go." I shoved him towards my room giving him the food back.
I went out. I could see someone sitting in the driver seat. I walked over and knocked on the window. They rolled it down.
"Can I help you? You've been watching my house and following me. If you want to talk. Just come with me and we can get to know one another a bit better in my house." I walked off. It didn't take ten seconds, they were shutting the car door and foot steps were behind me.
I let them go in first. I went over to the refrigerator and got out two waters. I tossed them one. "So, want to explain yourself? I'm not to keen on someone stalking me. Nor Hayley."
"I was just watching Hayley."
"Well, I'm not going to hurt her Gabby."
She looked down at her feet. "She told you about me?"
I half chuckled. "Yeah, how you're a dick. Let me guess whatever happened with the whore you cheated on her with left. Now you see you messed up and want Hayley back."
She didn't say anything. "You can't have her. I can treat her right. I do treat her right. She is precious to me. If you think I'm going to let you take her back and hurt her again, you got it all wrong. I'd take a bullet for her. Would you?"
Gabby scratched her head, nervous. "I just want her back."
"She's scared of you. I'm not letting her get hurt. You stay away or I'll do something that I won't regret." I was getting pissed by the second.
Gabby laughed. "Is that a threat?"
I walked around and got in her face. She was a bit shorter than I was. "No, Gabby, that's a fucking promise. I know a lot of people. Don't fuck around with me and especially Hayley. I'll give you time to fuck off and never come back around."
"Fine."
Gabby went to walk out the door. "Oh and Gabby, don't think, talk, or even look at her anymore. She's with me. I'll do anything to protect her."
She snarled at me and left. I stood there wanting to hit something. I put my hands out on the bar. "Is it safe to come out?"
"Yes."
"How far would you go Eli?" Ian leaned up against the counter.
I looked at him. "Like I told her, I know people. All I have to say is she's being a stalker and making me and Hayley feel uncomfortable. Throw money at them and that's it."
"Your parents' money, you mean."
"Yes. I know I'm doing everything the hard way. But I still have my savings and they put money in it all the time. I guess the perks of being rich. But I don't want Hayley seeing me like that. I hated that life Ian. It's the reason I left."
"I know. But if you want her to know all of you. She has to know those parts too Eli." Ian put a hand on my shoulder.
I looked at him. "I know. Let's go. I got a lunch date. She will be upset with me if I don't bring her extra goldfish."Lunch went smoothly. I asked Hayley if she got any texts from any exes lately. She said no. Which was a really good thing. I wasn't afraid to beat the shit out of Gabby. Or have to go to extra lengths. Was I a killer? No. But I knew people. Though I know I'd never let it go that far. Because even though Gabby done Hayley wrong. Hayley would never forgive me for something like that.
I kept looking at Hayley all through out lunch. Ian was right. If Hayley was going to know me. She'd have to see the other parts of my life. Hear about the other parts. Everything. Probably even meet my parents. Fuck.
