~Jayla POV~ Pj is your best friend and his brother Spencer is your crush. Of course Spencer don't know you like him and PJ found out by himself. He told you he'll keep it a secret and was not going to tell him which was good.
Today is Spencer birthday. He's 20 today. He's only a couple of months older than you.
Anyway PJ told you to come to his apartment to hang out. So when you got there you saw Spencer. "Hey Jayla" he said waving at you "Hey Spencer. Happy birthday" "Thank you" "Where's your brother?" I sat my stuff on the counter "He's at practice" "Oh he told me to come over but I'll come back when he's back" I grabbed my bag and coat "You don't have to leave. I mean you can if you want to but I'm alone in here. You would want to leave your friend alone on his birthday would you?" "I guess" I put my stuff back down and walked over to the coach where he was at "You was just sitting here?" "I was trying to work the tv but then you came in. Was the door unlocked?" "No I have a key and can you pass me the remote"I asked
Once he gave me the remote I turned the tv on and switch it to Netflix. "Okay what do you want to watch?" "It don't matter to me just something interesting" he said sitting back
After scrolling through Netflix I finally found something to watch. I laid down after taking my shoes off. There was space between me and Spencer I made sure of that.
All the years me and PJ been best friends me and Spencer never really talked like that. I mean we would say hey to each other but I was always with PJ so there was no conversation between us.
We was 30 minutes into the move when Spencer decided to lay on me. Now y'all know I didn't say shit cause what the fuck.
I was on my side and me was laying on my shoulder.
"You good?" He asked me "Mmhh" I couldn't even get a word out. That's what this boy is doing to me.
I was trying to pay attention but I started to daydream. What if we was together? He's vegan, I'm vegan. He play basketball and I play basketball. I already know his family one of his siblings is my best friend. We know each other's birthday. He's know I'm the only child. He need to stop playing with me.
PJ walked into the living room with a smile. "Aww look at y'all" he's says "Shut up" Spencer says getting off me "Hey best friend" pj says jumping on me "Hey ass whole" I playfully punched him "Hey what was that for?" "Why would tell me to come over when you wasn't even here?" "Because I wanted you to already be here when I got home" "Jack ass" I rolled my eyes "But hey you got to spend time with Spencer" he smirk "Yeah" Spencer said "Oh shut up" I walked to the kitchen
"What you doing?" Pj called out "Finding me something to eat in yo kitchen" i said. I heard them talk so I quit what I was doing to listen.
"So you like her?" Pj asked "Yes" "Since when?" "It's been a minute" "Why you didn't say anything bro?" "Because she's your best friend. Y'all talk about everything I don't need for you to tell her that I like her" "So your just gonna hide your feelings?" "That's the plan"
He likes me? Oh my gosh he likes me!! You know what imma act like I didn't just hear that.
I walked back into the living with pineapples. Before I could even sit in my spot pj moved me so that I was sitting next to Spencer. "Paul" I rolled my eyes. I almost spilled the juice on his carpet. " what's?" "Why you do that?" "Why would you want to sit all the way over there by yourself?" "What ever" I rolled my eyes "And you eating my pineapples" "So? I'll get you more cry baby" "I'm not a cry baby" he rolled his eyes "Yeah right" Spencer mumbled. I laughed and pj looked over at me.
"What he say?" "Nothing" I said eating another one. Spencer got one from my bowl and bit into it while looking at PJ. "Ya know....y'all two would make a cute couple" he said with out of no where.
My eyes went wide. Why the fuck did he just say that shit. "Bro" Spencer said "What? Y'all would. I think y'all should get together" he said "Paul shut up" i said before this fool tell on me. "What you don't think we would look good?" Spencer asked "What? I-I didn't say that" I looked at him "So you do think we would look good?" Okay now he putting word in my mouth but hell yeah we would be a fine ass couple.
"You know what" I rolled my eyes "Just spell y'all feelings already damn" pj said "Paul" we both said "No you know what Jayla, Spencer likes you and Spencer Jayla likes you so can y'all get together now gosh" PJ walked someone in his apartment.
I was just shocked that he just snitched on me like that. So much for a damn best friend.
"Is it true?" He asked "Yeah" I didn't even look at him "How long?" "Years" "Years??" "Yeah" I cover my face.
I'm so embarrassed. I should have never fell for my best friend brother. I'm so stupid.
Spencer grabbed my face and kissed me. I kissed back but pulled away. "What was that for?" "What I can't kiss my girl?" He "Your girl?" I smiled "Yes my girl" he pulled into him so that I was laying on his chest.
This felt good. I've been dreaming of this feeling for years. Now that's it's happening I don't know how to feel or act.
"Let yo out for dinner I'm starving" he says "Okay. Are we leaving PJ?" "Yeah he got his own money. It's our time" he says
He have my fucking heart yo..
