I woke up coughing. I had fallen asleep on the ground. It was dark and I couldn’t remember the way home. I got up and began to walk in a random direction unaware of where I was going to end up. I could here someone walking in the distance behind me. I tuned around to see Hoody trying to catch up with me. “Are you lost too?”

“We need to get out of here.” He demanded.

“Well I would try if I knew where I was.”

“Follow me.” He said out of breath.

“You’re taking me back to my house right?” I asked

“If you want. We just need to get out of these woods before he finds us.” He said in panic.

“Who?” I began to wonder who he was talking about.

“I seen him. He looked dead, but he was walking, like, like a zombie or something. He got to my target before I could, just like he used to. He always loved to take our targets and take credit for them. He always loved the taste of blood more than we did. He was always messed up in the head, way worse than I ever was. Hell I’ve always been saner than anyone else around here. No offence. He, he saw me and started coming for me. I had to run. I know what he’s capable of. I’ve seen him do his worst. It’s horrifying. Even for a psychopathic serial killer.”

“None taken. But still who are you talking about?” I was confused.

He stopped and turned around to look me straight in the eye. “T-toby. It was Toby.” He had fear in his eyes. He turned back around and we started walking again. We were walking for about 30 minutes when we heard something in the distance. We stopped dead in our tracks.

“Did you hear that?”

“Yea I did. I think I know what it was.” He said with panic in his voice. We both waited for a moment. Then we saw a shadow, swaying back and forth as it walked. It reminded me of when I accidently woke Toby, only he wasn’t awake. It was more like he was sleep walking.

“Oh my God. I can’t do this, we need to go.” We began to run. Suddenly I knew where I was. We ran out of the woods and into my back yard. We stopped to get air in our lungs. “If you want you can stay.” I offered to Hoody.

“I don’t know. Masky is at the mansion.” He stopped to think. “Well, what could it hurt?” Masky and I walked inside. Zoey was on the couch. When she noticed us she jumped off the couch and began blabbing he mouth.

“Have you seen Gaven? He went out in the woods to look for you about 5 hours ago. I tried to call his cell but he didn’t answer.” She said worried. I couldn’t believe what was going on. Gaven was missing and there was a psychotic zombie on the loose. Why was all this happening? Why was I living this life? What did I do to deserve any of this? My whole life was a living hell.
