I woke up by the loud sound of my alarm clock. Six A.M. and I have to get ready for we have a game by Eight A.M. Pagkatapos kong maligo at maayos ang mga gamit na dadalhin ko ay lumabas na ako sa kwarto to have my breakfast.

"Good morning, best!" Audrey.

"Good morning. Why are you here? Wala ka na bang makain sa bahay mo dahil sa sobrang pagtitipid at dito ka na naman makiki-kain?" I said chuckling.

"Ay grabe ka talaga sakin, best. Pinagluto na nga kita gaganyanin mo pa ako?" pagdadrama ni Audrey while pouting.

"Wag ka ngang mag pout. Di bagay sayo. Panget mo" I teased.

"Sa ganda kong to ikaw lang nakakapagsabi na panget ako" napatawa ako sa sinasabi niya. But before I can say another insult ay naunahan niya na akong magsalita. "Hep! Kain na at baka ma late tayo sa laro" so we ate our breakfast and after that we made our way to school.

Pagdating sa parking lot, I composed a message and sent it to Harper pagkatapos ay dumiretso na kami sa locker to prepare para sa laro namin against Clifford University.

The game started at exactly Eight A.M. and ended at Nine-thirty A.M. It ended in our favor. We won again. It was a tough game which we only scored two goals. One goal from me and one from Audrey.

Katatapos ko lang magbihis at naramdaman ko ang pag vibrate ng cellphone ko sa aking bag. Kinuha ko only to find 8 missed calls and 5 messages all from Harper. I was about to call her but she called me first so I answered.

"Why aren't you answering my calls?!" Oh crap.

"Sorry love katatapos ko lang magbihis, 9:30 na kase natapos ang game namin so I immediately took a shower para makarating ako agad diyan sa gym. Mabuti nga at pinayagan ako ni coach na umalis agad. Naiwan ko pa nga si Audrey don eh. Ako lang kasi pinayagan na umalis hahaha. I'm sorry, alright? I'll be there in a bit." Mahabang paliwanag ko.

"Make sure to be here before the competition starts or you'll be punished. I'm telling you Gutierrez, you're really dead. Get your ass off here now!" I chuckled. I know she's just nervous. "And stop laughing! I'm practically hyperventilating right now, Paris!" With that, lumabas na ako and I started walking papuntang gym.

I chuckled. "You sounded really nervous, Harp."

"Well, maybe because I am nervous, captain obvious."

Di ko na napigilang matawa ng malakas kaya napapatingin ang ibang tao sakin. "Alright, I'm coming. Baba ko na to love ha? Ang ingay dito. Sobrang dami ng manunuod sa inyo."

"Okay. Be here ASAP" she said with authority in her voice then she ended the call.

Habang naglalakad ako ay maraming tao ang napapatingin at bumabati sa akin. I'm wearing our black varsity short shorts, plain white v-neck shirt na pinatungan ko ng varsity jacket with matching black nike running shoes. I'm carrying my duffel bag on my left shoulder.

I walked into the gym and hear all the shouting in unison. "LET'S GO PHOENIX!" the crowd cheered.

Our school mascot is a phoenix. I am not really a fan of watching cheer-leading competition because I find it boring. No offense meant. But look at me now?

I roamed my eyes to look for Harper. I saw them not far from where I am. I immediately quickened my pace so that I can wish her good luck.

"Harper!" I called for her. She turned her head but didn't see me. Bakit ba kasi ang daming tao ngayon. "I'm here!" That's when she saw me. Her nervous face suddenly lit up as soon as I got by her side.
