Chapter One

" Boom!" Someone yelled close to her ear as she was so engrossed busy making breakfast. She flinched and spun around so fast she sent the bowl of flour flying and spilling all of it's contents over both their heads.
"Ahhhhhh!!" She screamed at her little brother who was busy laughing at her, unconcerned about the mess or her outburst
"Oh my-y God-d, di-did you see y-your face just now? You looked like you just saw Pennywise and he was about to eat you up" he rambled on in between laughs as Shiller glared hard at him. If looks could kill, he would have been so dead.
"MICHAEL BRUCE!!, What the fuck?!"
He gave a mock gasp
"Shiller Bruce!, Did you just use foul language in front of your little brothers?" She snorted at him
"Oh, my bad baby Michael" he glared at her
"Hey! I'm a man!"
"Stop saying you're a man Mike, it won't make you any wiser" she said, holding his shoulder and giving him a pitiful glance "just don't ever do that again. I'm serious Mike"
"Come on Shil it was just a harmless joke" Mike said defensively, getting himself together a little
"You of all people should already know I take stuff like that seriously"
It was true,ever since that day when she found that note,she had been more jumpy than usual
"Ok, fine I'm sorry. Ok?"
"Hmm... No" she smirked
"Come on sis, what do you want me do then?"
"Do all the house chores for a whole week" she said with an mischievous glint in her eyes
"What? Hey that's unfair!"
"Chillax bro, I was just kidding" she chuckled at his childishness
"So are you guys done with your bantering? I'm starving right now?" An annoyed voice said
They both jumped up only to find out that it was Mitchell, Mike's twin brother. Always the grumpy one
"Oh Mitchy you gave us quite a scare there" Mike sighed dramatically
"I've told you to stop calling me that, Mike"
"Breakfast is ready guys" Shiller said interrupting them 
"Finally!" Mike exclaimed rubbing his hands together in anticipation and dug right away as soon as he was served his breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs with a glass of orange juice.
"Shiller aren't you going to work today?" Mitch asked
"Nah!, It's my day off today, I've got the whole house to myself"
"Cool, Mike and I are going to have some fun later today, you're coming?"
"Sure, but I have some things to do so, text me the details later"
"Okie" Mitch replied quickly before his brother could speak. Mike turned to his brother with a frown on his face
"She wasn't talking to you"
"Love you bro" Mitch replied
"Disgusting!" He replied making both Mitch and Shiller burst into laughter and he soon joined in.

"Good morning boss" Anne greeted him as soon as he entered
"Morning, do I have any appointments today?" Ray asked his secretary
"Yes boss, you have one by two pm with Tony's Enterprise it's about a business proposal that they think to be very useful for our company. Then by five pm, another one with TJ corporations"
"Is that all?"
"Yes boss"
"Good, the files I gave to you yesterday to take care of should be brought to my office right away, I need to sort out some things"
"Yes boss"
Then he left and went right into the office. Raymond Swift was known to many as the heir to Swift World Enterprise. One of the most powerful Enterprises in the country. This is a business that he struggled to get it to where it is today. Many ladies have been trying to get his attention and be close to him but knowing what they were after which is his money, he keeps his distance. The only woman that has ever been really close to him was Shiller Bruce since they've been friends since childhood. Although they never saw each other for three years-until last year though-but they still kept contact with each other and continued their friendship.
He walked into his office which was beautifully decorated with  grey coloured paint and the floor was made of sturdy white tiles. His desk was a deep mahogany colour and so were the rest of his furniture. The office had an en suite bedroom with a king sized bed, big enough to fit six people. That was where he usually spent the night when he was too tired to go home after the day's work. The bedroom had everything a bedroom could possibly ever have. One might mistake his office for a living room.
He checked his wrist watch, well it was only eleven am, then he sat down to work and didn't even look up when Anne quietly came in to drop the file he requested for or when she left.
Then his phone started ringing, he checked the time, twelve thirty pm. He checked the caller ID, it was Antony his partner and best friend since college. Antony Williams and Raymond Swift had been best friends since the first day they met in NYU and Tony had always wanted to be a police officer and after his education at college, he went to a military school and followed his dreams while Ray went into business. But some years later, Ray was bored with business life and wanted some action in his life, something exciting. So he joined the force but became a private detective, only offering intel to the station secretly and luckily for him, Tony also happened to be working at the same branch he was transferred to and they continued their friendship, Tony  had always mocked him about getting bored of business life.
"Hey man, what's up?" Ray greeted
"I have something important to tell you" Tony said from the other line
"What's that?"
"It's not something to be discussed over the phone"
"Okay..." Ray said slowly
"Meet me at Della's right now"
"Ok, I'm on my way" he cut the call
Tony jokes a lot, plays pranks and all but Ray knows when something is up with him. He sounded tired which was really unusual for him. Whatever was wrong must really be bad for it to affected him so much.
He arranged his desk and headed out of his office.
"Anne, I want you to cancel all my appointments for today and take care of the office while I'm gone, I won't be coming back to the office today"
"Yes boss"
Then he went out and drove straight to Della's. A personal hangout spot where he and Tony met often. Once he entered, he spotted Tony immediately and the man waved him over.
"Hey man, what's up?" Tony greeted
They talked about work and other unimportant things for a while before Tony gestured for them to go outside for some privacy. Once they found a secret spot, Tony started slowly
"So.., about what I called you for-"
"What about it man you look bad" Ray exclaimed
"Just listen man!" Tony snapped
Ray put up his hands in a 'sorry' motion and smiled a little
"She's back Ray" Tony blurted out and all the smile on Raymond Swift's face disappeared immediately.
