(I thought that for the first time all story that Austin's point of view would be cool to put in. So Austin's point of view will happen)Erika
The pain was absolutely unbearable. Worse than anything I've ever felt before. Oh crap. I'm on Austin's bed! I couldn't sit up. Let alone barely move.
I made myself fall off the bed and onto the floor. "Mother fucker!" I yelled. I crawled my way out of Austin's room and towards the phone. I was extremely slow. And it seemed as if everything else was moving in slow motion.
"ERIKA IM HOME!!" I heard Austin call up as the front door closed. "Erika!?" He called. I heard feet walking up the stairs.
"Help" I squeaked out. It wasn't loud enough.
I was laying in the hallway clutching my stomach from the pain.
"Oh. My. God." He said as he turned the corner and saw me. Tears filled his eyes and he collapsed to the ground next to me and held me. I felt wetness hit my shoulder. "I'm sorry." I choked out.
He took out his phone and dialed 911 while I laid there in agony.
"I'm sorry.." I kept repeating over and over to him.
"What are you sorry for Erika?" He asked as he laid with me. He didn't let go. Not once.
"Your bed." I choked out. He shook his head and cuddled me close.
The paramedics came up and strapped me to the gurney. I felt myself sliding in and out of consciousness and I knew it was because of my blood loss.
"Sir I need to you move. She needs emergency surgery." The paramedic said. Austin stayed close to me while they went downstairs.
"I'm not leaving my daughters side." He said while looking at me. I smiled a bit before everything went black.
~dream~
I was cold. Actually it was freezing. I hugged myself and walked through the field.
"Erika."
I snapped my head to the direction of the voice and didn't see anything.
"Erika."
I made my way towards a wilted tree and studied it.
Once I touched the bark, my hands started to tingle. I pulled my hand back and look up at the tree.
"Erika!" I heard. It was a strong female voice and it seemed to be yelling for me.
"I'm near the tree!" I yelled back. I turned my attention back to the tree and saw a little girl in front of me. She didn't appear to have any clue that I was standing right there. "I'm over here mommy! Look look what I found!" She said while pointing to the tree.
The woman came up and was out of breath and smiling at the little girl.
I was so starstruck by who I was seeing.
"Mom?"
Austin
She's been in surgery for 2 hours now. This is all my fault. I should've been there ready to protect her.
"Austin stop beating yourself up. She'll come out of that operating room stronger than ever. I know her." Alan said.
"You don't understand Alan. He shot her. In my bed. There was a giant blood stain. He left her to bleed out!" I was crying by the end and Alan pulled me into a hug.
A couple in the waiting room looked at us weird and Alan looked at them right back. "What have you never seen a man comfort his best friend!"
"Inconsiderate pricks." He mumbled.
"I need her Alan. She's all I have besides the band and touring. I can't lose her." I cried.
"I know man, I know. Everything will be ok. She'll survive. She's strong."
A doctor with blood filled scrubs came out and took the mask over his face off. "Carlile, Erika?" He announced.
"That's me! That's my daughter is she ok?!" I panicked.
He looked down and played with the mask. "Mr. Carlile..."
"So she's ok?" I said.
He shook his head and guided me into a quiet hallway.
"I'm not sure how to tell you this. And I'm not gonna beat around the bush either..."
"Don't tell me doc."
"Let me finish." He scolded
"Sorry." I said
"Mr. Carlile, Erika's in a coma. And we don't know when she'll wake up."
