Tony, Peter, Maddie, and Pepper arrive at the funeral. There are already a lot of people there, mostly friends and coworkers of May's. Josh is sitting down at the back of the church with his mom and dad next to him. He saw Maddie and walked over to them.
"Hi Josh" Tony says.
"Hi" Josh responds.
"Do you want to go sit down?" Pepper says to Tony.
"Sure, see you guys when you walk up" Tony says and they go sit in the front row of the church.

(In case you didn't know, in American funerals, the children, grandkids, brothers/sisters, in this case nieces and nephews walk behind the casket down the aisle at the beginning of the ceremony.)

Peter goes to talk to Ned who he sees sitting in the second row behind Tony and Pepper. Maddie turns to Josh.
"Can you sit with me during the ceremony?" Maddie asks.
"Of course" Josh says. He hugs her, as the avengers walk in. They say hello and go and sit next to Ned who is fanboying so hard, even though Peter took him to meet them once before. The music starts so Josh goes and sits next to Tony. 4 men bring in the casket, they start to carry it down the aisle, and Maddie and Peter follow. Peter hold Maddie's hand as they walk and she squeezes his back. They make it to the front and take their seats. Josh let's Peter and Maddie pass that way Peter is next to Tony and Maddie is between Peter and himself. Few of May's friends go up and speak saying things about May, during the second person, tears begin to run down Maddie's face. Josh puts his arm around her back, and Peter squeezes her hand. Then the Priest calls up Maddie. The next person, is Madison Parker, May's niece. Peter gives her a smile and she walks up to the alter and stands behind the podium type thing.
"Hi. I'm Maddie, May's niece. Her and Ben took in myself and my brother Peter when we were little after our parents passed. And she kept us and took care of us until the minute she died." Maddie says. She wipes a tear out of her eye. "I could stand up here and talk about every good quality she had, and all the good she did, but I'd be here all day. Besides she always loved to listen to me sing. There was this one song that she would always ask me to sing, and I think she would rather me sing it." The piano starts to play, and Maddie sings "Piece by Piece" by Kelly Clarkson. Peter and Josh cry's while she sings it, along with most people at the funeral. She finished and goes back to her seat. The priest says a few final prayers and the ceremony is over.
