Close but still a miss

This shop is much smaller than the shop in our town. But I think it should do. The boys followed  a little behind me, I noticed that Jeffery was sniffing the air around him. What is it Jeff?

 I smell my mate, but it is hard to pinpoint who, there is too many herbs and incense burning in here.   Nodding my head. I understood what he was talking about. The stuff they were burning anything more and we wouldn't be able to stand it. Overwhelming sense of smell can be a really big burden sometimes.  Getting out of my head I noticed a women was coming up to me, more like bouncing up to me. She was tall and curvy with a big smile on her face. Anymore and he face would split in two. Her hair was this bright smurf blue, it was so unruly and curly that it had a certain charm of its own.

"Hi!!! Is there something that I can help you with today?" She seemed to really love her job, or she was naturally that bright and bubbly.

"Hello." I gave her a small smile. "I am looking for herbs. Specific ones, I am making some healing soap."

"Healing soap you say? Well you came to the right place for herbs, obviously." She gave me a cheeky grin. "If we don't have it here then, I am certain that our other store a town over will, it is much bigger than this one." Looking around the store there was only one other employee and a few customers including the boys. Jeff was staring right at her, I knew right then that she was his mate. Sniffing her as descreetly as I could, I noticed something about her scent. Jeff is definitly gonna have his hands full with her.

Jeff is she your mate?  He nodded, I smiled great big, looking like the cat who has caught the canary. I probably was scaring her a little bit, looking at her I noticed she wasn't even paying attention to me. She must have picked up Jefferys scent. Her little pixie nose was twitching with each smell she was breathing in.  She wasn't having much luck sniffing out him. She is a werewolf. Which is a good thing, but on another thing she is also a witch. I told Jeff through the link.  You will have to be easy with her. Her witch part is more prominent, I don't think she even knows she is part werewolf or if she does then she doesn't know very much. You will have to do some explaining and be patient. 

I got her attention, she stared at me with an open mouth. Looking away I saw a blush flair to life on her face. "I am so sorry!! I must have spaced out. You know what I never introduced myself. Lets start over." She  smiled at me. "Hi!! Welcome!!! This ia Maikai. My name is Kai. What types of herbs are you looking for today?"

I chuckled at her, amused at her antics. "Hello, my name is Rose. I am looking for a few different herbs. Do you have: Lavandula, mint, Midnight Flower, Aconitum, thyme and sage." Her eyes got great big at the mention of Aconitum. She must know the weakness it causes in werewolves. i mean it does not hurt them. It basically makes them sick to their stomach and a little weak. Basically like a stomach bug.

"You said this is for a soap?" She looked at me quizzically.

"Yes, my grandma is the one that told me about it. It's one of her recipes. She can be a little crazy at times but hey if it works who cares right?" Shrugging my shoulders I gave her a who cares look. I can't wait till I can tell her the truth, I can feel it in my gut that we are going to be really good friends.

"That is true. It's just a weird combination of herbs is all. I know we have most of those here. All but Aconitum, which btw is called wolfsbane normally, you was calling it by its scientific name. Would you like to come with me? I'll get your account set up and we can get you the herbs we have now. Unless you want all the herbs together?"

"I'd like to wait till they are all together. Would you be able to ship them to the sister store, I believe it's in my town. Or call over there and get them to arrange it for me?"

"I sure can hun." She was back to her cheerful attitude. I gave her all my information, let's hope I can find my phone, she typed away. Not one to really beat around the Bush. Jeff come over here.  I looked out the corner of my eye he was looking at me with wide eyes.  Do not question me dude, I know what I am doing.

Once he was right beside me, Kai stopped what she was doing and just stared at him. "Eh hem. This is my friend Jeffery. He will give you the rest of the information you need, should you need anymore. I'll be looking forward to seeing you again Kai. Please take care." With a smile I walked off leaving them to their own.

Reaching the car , Enzo asked, "Is he going to be alright by himself? You know with you know who after you and the werewolves following you?"

"Oh hunny!!! He will be fine. He can take care of himself. He really is much stronger than he looks. He isn't just any werewolf..... Let's go home. I am beat, all this smiling is too much." With that I drove out of the parking lot and headed for home. Not knowing that I narrowly missed an encounter with a certain Alpha who just arrived and who was intently staring at me while I drove away. He was close but it was still a miss...
