Zayn's POV

After the dramatic end of our truth or dare game we all went back into the farmhouse. Niall got a room by himself, Louis and Evie were in a room, and Liam and I.
"I can't believe Niall. He was sweet and innocent before," Liam said. I laughed.

"Sweet and innocent, are we talking about Niall or an infant?" I teased. He laughed. He has a beautiful laugh. What? Zayn! That's Liam you're thinking about.

"You know what I mean. I just wish Niall was Niall again," he said.

"You want him to be Niall again, because Normal Niall wouldn't put up a fight for Evie," I said. The thought of him wanting Evie that bad made me a little sad.

"No, well kinda," he admitted. He sat down on the bed.

"Don't get me wrong, Evie's a sweet girl. I just don't see what you think is so great about her," I said.

"She's beautiful. She's smart. She nice. I just... I don't know, there's just something about her," he said.

"Li, that's not a lot to go off of,"

"Why do you care anyway?" he asked. I couldn't tell him that I fancied him. I just stood there. "Don't tell me you fancy her too,"

"No, of course not," I said. He
looked at me skeptically.

"Okay," he said. "I wasn't sure. You've been acting weird lately,"
"I just don't think you have a chance with Evie. I don't want you getting hurt," I said. Bad move. I scolded before I could do damage control Liam snapped.

"What'd you mean I don't have a chance? She likes me better than Niall right now!" he exclaimed.

"What about when Niall goes back to normal? He was with her first, she likes him. Li, I don't want you getting hurt," I pleaded.

"Zayn, you don't understand. I want her more than Niall I'd rather Niall just disappeared,"," he said.

"Liam, she's not worth it!" I scolded. Liam looked upset.

"I know, I know. I just really care about her," Liam said.

"What do you think Evie would say about that?" I asked. He looked down.

"She wouldn't care," he said sadly.

"I'm not a fan of Evie, but you know she wouldn't want you to think that way," I said. Defending Evie felt wrong. I didn't like her plain and simple. I like Liam and she's in my way.

"You don't know that," he sadly said. I stood up.

"Then, she's an idiot. You're a great guy and she doesn't deserve you," I said. He didn't look at me. I stormed out of the room and pounded on Evie and Louis's door. "Evie!"

"Zayn?" she said opening the door. She had on a tight black tank top and loose fitting pajama shorts. I can see why Liam thought she was beautiful.

"What did you say to Liam?" I hissed.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about," she said.

"Liam's upset over you, and you better fix it," I seethed.

"Zayn, I didn't do anything,"

"You bloody well know you did,"

"I don't know what I did," she pleaded.

"Zayn, stop yelling at her," Louis said, walking up behind her.

"Louis, she's the one tearing the band apart," I yelled. Evie looked hurt when I said that.
