Every bone in my body felt as if it had shattered. I'd never in my life been held at gun point before. My mind went blank as I stared into the two cut out holes of the tattered ski mask to reveal sea green eyes glaring back at me.
"Follow me." He simply said in a low voice. A low voice that sounded very familiar, almost too familiar. My eyebrows rose simultaneously along with my suspicion.
I decided to be brave, "Who are you and what do you want?" I said in a meek voice. If I could get him talking, maybe I could pinpoint who this guy is.
He just glared at me and nudged his head in the outside direction to get me to follow him.
I complied, only because I didn't want my brains blown out; and I prayed Tang would call the cops. Where was she anyway?
I started to follow the man who still held the gun's tip very close to my temple around the back of my home.
"Are you gonna kill me?" I asked as I felt the blood flush from my face.
"Shut up." He grumbled "or I will".
I heard Tang yell my name from inside my home.
"Tang!" I gasped without thinking. I prayed she wouldn't look for me, there's no telling what this guy would do. I needed her to stay inside and call the cops. My eyes started watering at the thought of her getting hurt in attempt to help me. I've already asked her for so much...
"ESME!!" I heard her screech as she came running from around the corner of the house locking eyes with me.
"No!" I yelled to her "Don't come closer! Just go back inside and I promise I'll be okay." I said as the tears began to roll down my cheeks. I was terrified for the both of us.
"LET HER GO OR ILL CALL THE COPS!" she screamed at my attacker.
He moved the gun away from my head in one swift motion and the next thing I remember was a ear shattering noise, and Tang crashing to the ground.
I stared in the direction in complete shock as the world had seemed to go completely silent.
"Tang?" I tried to say but nothing but air came through my lips.
While still in shock the man pressed the gun tip under my jaw, grabbed my arm and forced me to look away and keep walking deeper into the woods of my backyard.
I used every bit of strength to push away from him and look behind me and for a second I broke free of him. I whipped around only to see Tang still on the ground, not moving.
I fell to my knees and I just remember screaming until my voice ran hoarse.
My attacker seemed extremely irritated and frantic as this point so he decided to pick me up and throw me over his shoulder roughly.
I didn't fight him, I felt like every drop of energy had been taken away from me.
I just cried and yelled and begged Tang to get up as her body became less and less visible as my attacker trudged deeper and deeper into the foliage.
I felt so tired, so hurt, so angry, so depleted....before everything went black.
*
"Well fuck you I had to carry her heavy ass here."
"Tell me what that fucking gunshot was and I'll get off your ass!"
I heard two low voices, arguing with one another as my vision was still coming to. I felt cold air blowing on my face, and something tight across my chest.
