I wanted to sleep in for several hours. But this morning was going to be an earlier morning than usual.
I got out of bed and glared at the clock that read 5:45am.
Yes, 5:45am. You see things were left unsettled last night. I received a notification at four that I was supposed to report to the central office at six.
I got in the shower for three minutes, freshened up, and made sure I didn't look like I could've potentially been raped last night.
Tang walked me to the office even though I told her she didn't need to come she insisted. Then she told me we'd catch breakfast with Ahn before classes start at 8.
I took a deep breath hoping for some confidence as I entered the room where the principal, Mr.Jung, Mrs.Avery, and Ryan were already seated.
"Good morning, Esme. You can take a seat." The principal directed. "Okay, so I believe we all know why we're here correct?" Everyone except Ryan nodded. He was staring off into space. "First off I'd like to apologize to you Esme I don't know how scary it must've been for you. Now would you please tell me what happened? It doesn't have to be detailed."
I nodded and glanced over Ryan. He probably felt innocent, betrayed.
"Ryan and I went to talk in my dorm about a school assignment and things escalated to a point where I didn't want to continue. I told him no but he kept going so I yelled for help." I kept my eyes on the floor, it was embarrassing.
The principal shook her head in disapproval at Ryan. "Is any of this false, Ryan?"
He shifted and stayed glaring at Mr.Jung. "I didn't rape her and I wasn't gonna. We were goofing off in the first place that's why she let me in her dorm. She threatened to scream rape because all I did was kiss her after she accused me of cheating on her."
Mr.Jung glared at him back. "Not that it is any of my concern but may I interject that several students have you accounted for cheating. Don't act like you don't have any socials." It was ironic coming from him, but it felt like he was speaking up for me.
I glared at Ryan this time. It was my turn to feel betrayed.
"You didn't just kiss me you did other things with force and against my will. Explain the bruises if you just kissed me." I was starting to loose my temper. Stuff like this sounds weird when you're saying it out loud infront of your crush.
The principal sighed disapprovingly at the sight of my wrist that had bruised from last night.
"Esme you're dismissed. But you have two days of lunch duty for breaking our 'no guys in dorms after seven policy.' Which is there to protect you, I'm glad you're okay." I nodded and glanced over at Mr.Jung before I left. He was looking at me too this time, expressionless.
I sighed. It's better than anger.

Mr.Jung's POV:
I watched her leave, my eyes didn't leave her until the doors were closed. Now I can focus my attention on the bastard who has caused more than enough problems for me.
Alison Avery left to get prepared for class leaving me and Ryan alone with the principal.
"And as for you, Ryan, I'm thinking about a two week suspension. How do you feel about it Mr.Jung?" She looked up at me. I knew anything I'd say to her she'd most likely agree. I have that affect on higher authority.
"I believe that's a reasonable punishment for this particular rule he broke, but it does absolutely no justice to the fact that he broke the rule about carrying a firearm on campus."
Ryan stood up "No I didn't! That was YOU!" He pointed his thick finger right between my eyebrows before Principal Ulsa told him to sit down.
I rolled my eyes for theatric effect. "Ryan blaming your mistakes on a teacher isn't going to get you out of this situation. I saw you carrying a gun while you rushed to your dorm Tuesday. And on top of that another student told me they witnessed you telling them you hid it in your drawer."
Ryan was speechless. "The only one I talked to about the gun was Esme and she didn't tell you because we both know it's yours!"
Principal Ulsa shook her head in disbelief. "You just won't own up to anything." She looked at me now "I'll send security down to search his room."
"You're going to find the gun because I've been framed!" Ryan protested.
"Framed? You placed the gun in the drawer yourself, didn't you?" I marveled at watching
Ryan glared at me viciously as she dialed the phone.
"You locked the door on purpose, you did it all on purpose." He whispered.
I simply tilted my head the slightest bit and stared at him "Did I? Does it matter? I won't see you after today." I said in a low voice while Principal Ulsa had her back turned to us talking to a security guard.
Ryan shook his head "I'm not leaving. I'm gonna prove it was you. They won't believe you! They can check through your purchase history or whatever. They'll find out it was you."
"Well Ryan, I'll let you know that I'm aware of the fact that Esme wasn't the only girl you've tried to rape. And unfortunately, you've been more successful recently actually, so either way...you're going behind bars." I slid forward three photographs of three unfortunate girls who were too scared to speak up about their awful experience with Ryan.
"I know what you did to them, I could tell you were a rapist the day I met you."
Ryan's face twitched confirming my suspicions.
He head fell. "What's worse? A rapist, or a murderer?" He asked me, catching me off guard.
"They found a gun in your drawer, and it wasn't planted there." She turned around, talking to Ryan.
"I have to call the cops, and expel you. There's nothing more to it except paperwork. Mr.Jung, thank you. You may leave."
I nodded at Ulsa and gave Ryan a smile before walking out of the office. The bastard had the nerve to cry.

I walked outside to the garden where I wasn't surprised to see Esme sitting on a bench, thinking.
"You alright?" I asked her as I approached the bench.
She shrugged "Are you going to tell on me for skipping?"
I shook my head. I'm glad she wasn't with Ryan anymore, he was terrible for her. I'm also glad she gave up looking into into information on me, she's safer not knowing anything.
"No."
"Then I feel great...what's going to happen to Ryan?" she looked up at me, her golden long strands of hair flowed with the soft breeze of the wind. I felt feelings like attraction or empathy I'd certainly be interested in her. But she was a student, an innocent student that did not deserve to know or be involved in any part of my wretched past.
I wanted to wish her luck but a searing pain hit me straight in shoulder.
From Esme's facial expression I could tell it was bad. She started screaming, snapping me out of shock.
I turned around to see Ryan who had just shot me being pushed into the ground by police officers.
Then I looked at my shoulder, where crimson red was spreading all over my teaching suit.
