"So are you ready to try your new weapon, kid?"
I let out a small chuckle and draw my sword, seeing the sunlight reflecting on the blade.
"Yeah! I'm actually happy today, also considering what happened yesterday after you left." I answer, taking a look at our victims.
"Guys, stick together and we'll pull this off." The human that looks to be the leader says.
"Stupid humans. Die!"
I charge head on and stab one of them in the chest, then I slash a second one in half, I block a swing from a third one, then I swing back and miss, but guess what? The sharp teeth on the other side of the blade help me. I thrust forward and open up a gash in the human's side, making him scream in pain and drop his sword. Then I slash his head off and the body falls on the ground.
"Boy, I love this thing!" I yell as I block a blow from another human and do a full spin on myself, sticking my sword in his neck. I find myself laughing maniacally as I massacre two more humans and watch their blood stain the grass.
"Alright, kid! Nice job! You seem to handle that thing pretty well!" Lupusregina shouts, kicking aside the body of a human she just killed.
"By the way, why did you make that jacket so long? It almost goes down to your knees! It's almost like a raincoat…"

She's right, actually.

"It's better to hide myself, and it's comfy!" I answer and smile broadly.
"Okay, I see your point. So…" She starts, searching around the humans' corpses, "...what are your intentions with the sharp toothed bitch?"

Good question.

"Um, I don't know…right now I need not to think about her." I answer as I clean my sword with a sleeve of the shirt of the human whose arm I chopped off.
"Yeah, fair enough. But when you told her you loved her, you were just lying to make her feel even more like shit, right?"
I sigh and take a look at Lupusregina, shaking my head imperceptibly.
"Oh…so you really did…"
I nod without saying anything, and I put my sword back in the scabbard.
"You poor thing…you were in an even worse situation than I thought..." Lupusregina muses to herself, smiling kindly at me.
"Yeah…but anyway, now it's over, and that's all that matters." I say, convincing myself of what just came out of my mouth, then I shrug casually with a sigh.
"Right!"

I need to meet new people. I only know 2 or 3 here in Nazarick. I mean, I know almost everybody, but I talk on a daily or weekly basis with only 2 or 3.

"Ahh…we finished our patrol for today. And we still have how much time?" I ask stretching out my arms.
"About half an hour before we need to start walking back! What should we do?"
"Any ideas? I don't have any…" I ask, scratching my head.
"Hmm…tell me a bit about yourself! Like, what are your expectations for life right now?"

Uh, weird question.

"I don't know…my plan was to find somebody possibly immortal as me to spend my existence with…" I start, binging a hand to my chin.
"What about Shalltear? You said you loved her didn't you?"

But wait wasn't she like "no don't trust her she's bad" just now?

"What? No! She made my life hell for the few months I've been here!" I yell, shaking my head with an expression that spells "don't you remember?".
"Alright alright, I was just joking! I don't know who it could be, but I for sure know who it could not be. Me, for example!"

Why is she so worried that I'll fall in love with her? I only see her as a friend.

"Yeah, yeah, don't worry! But you didn't let me finish earlier. I said my plan was to find somebody, but seeing how complicated my life already is I'm not in the mood for that anymore. I just wanna take it easy and make some friends first."
"Friends…you've got like 2 now right? Me and the human girl?" Lupusregina asks.
"Yeah. 2 isn't a bad number, I mean, it's more than I've ever had my whole life, but let's say I wanna meet new people. Or something." I think to myself.

Yeah, the maximum number of friends I've ever had was one. But even Zara left me at some point...

"Well…hmm…how about I introduce you to one of my sisters?" She asks putting her fists on her hips.

Uh, I don't know if it's a good idea…

"Well, who?" I ask, trying to be positive.
"Hmm…you already met Solution some time ago, and she didn't seem to like you did she?"
I shake my head and shrug, remembering her cold and distant behavior.
"Okay…Yuri is…all about work. Narberal is the classic tall, quiet and serious type, so no as well…CZ has no social skills whatsoever, apart from hugging, and Entoma-"
"No. She creeps the hell out of me." I hiss, interrupting her and giving her a look that spells "no, no and NO".
"Okay then! I guess you were lucky to meet me out of the 6 of us! Hm…Sebas isn't exactly the guy to make friends…he's sorta like a…protector? Hey, I've got an idea! How about you start working on Lord Ainz?"

Eh?!

"I hope you're joking." I say quickly and shake my head.
"Why?" Lupusregina asks with an eyebrow raised.
"Because the king is the most scary person in Nazarick to me, that's why!" I whisper and take a nervous look around.
"Mmm, you're so picky…" She whines and joins her hands behind her head.
"What can I do? I'm still a human in here! At least, partly." I say putting a finger on my temple.
"Right…how about a human?"

That's out of the question.

"No. I hate them. Yes, I know I was a human too, but I hated them even back then."
At that, Lupusregina shrugs and pouts in a cute way, joining her hands behind her head.
"Welp, I'm out of ideas. Come on, let's take a walk."

Hmm…there ain't many people who are good at making friends here in Nazarick, huh?

"People here are weird…how the hell did this group of…people come together?" I ask casually.
"Ahh…it's a long story, that I can't really be bothered to tell right now…" She says annoyed and yawns.
"Okay then. I guess I'll just have to stick with two friends for now…" I whisper as we start walking back to Nazarick.
"Well…you know what kid?" Lupusregina starts with a very proud tone of voice. I stop walking and look at her with a perplexed look, shaking my head.
"You should be proud of your two friends. One, because it shows there's good in you even though your childhood has been a living hell. Two, because that's more than that bitch of your boss will ever have."
