   “Kion, wake up.”

   Groaning and slowly opening his eyes, the young lion’s vision began adjusting to see the soft smile of her lioness. Her sweet voice always put a smile on his face, he always liked it. Shaking off the drowsiness, Kion stood up and gave her a wide smile.
  
   “Morning Rani.” he greeted then rubbed her cheek with his, letting each other’s affections relieve them. After that, they walked towards the exit of the tree as Rani asked him about what them and the Pride talked about.

   “Kion, do you really think this is a wise decision?” she asked, she has been doubting if this was the right thing. She isn’t really against this, she’s just worried. Kion looked at her in the eyes and knew what she is feeling.

   “Rani, before I announced that meeting, I went to talk to not only Askari but as well as your parents and my grandfather about this. They support me on this and I want you to do the same.” he reassured her, telling her the truth. With that, Rani relaxed and nod before they finally went out of the tree.

   Outside, the rest of the Night Pride were waiting for the king and queen. Baliyo yawned as he and the rest of her sister’s Night Pride has been up all night, though he doesn’t complain. As the regular Night Pride, it is in the name that they sworn to protect the Tree of Life during the night and sleep in the day unless there’s trouble. Ono noticed this and seemed to be worried of this.

   “You guys should set this one out, I’m sure Kion and Rani would understand.” the egret suggested.

   “Thank you for your concern Ono, but we all need to be hear as we had agreed with this as well.” Surak declined, he looked a lot less tired than his nephew and Nirmala.

   Ono turned to his teammates for anything but nothing came so he dropped the subject. Soon, Kion and Rani appeared out of the entrance and made their way to the group. Kion sat in his hind and started the meeting.

   “You all know what we talked about yesterday morning, right?” they all nodded in understanding. Just as they nodded, a snow white owl flew above them and landed at the center of the group. Last night, she has been informed by Anga that the Pride would liked to talk to her in the morning. She didn’t know why but if its important, then she will come.

   Rani is the first one to greet. “Ullu, it is great to have you here.” she said kindly.

   Ullu spread her wings and bowed in respect. “It is good to be here as well, my queen.”

   Rani shook her head and looked at the owl in front of her. “Ullu, no need for the formality. Also, please call me and Kion by our names.” the owl looked at her and nod. With that, Kion stepped beside Rani and gave her a knowing smile. Rani understood it and turned back to Ullu, everyone else silently watched as Rani began what they had been discussing yesterday morning.

   “Ullu, me and my Night Pride have known you for as long as we can remember. There are many times that you would alert us of the danger in every land The Tree of Life is connected, near or far. There are times too that you would fight along side with us, am I right?”
