...

Groaning softly, Kion slowly opened his eyes and smiled at the first thing he sees. Snoring lightly is Nathan who is on his knees and head resting on his arms at the edge of the bed, sleeping quietly after last night. Looking at him for a short while, the teen lion observed the den which he learned is a tent. Thanks to the sleep last night, he now has a clear mind as he tried remembering all the different furniture around it.

   “Flask,…table,…bowl,….cloth,…

   “What are you muttering about?”

Kion was startled when he heard Nathan spoke. Seemingly, the young man had just woken up and heard the young lion muttering in an inaudible volume. Nathan rubbed his eyes as he pushed his body away from the bed and looked at Kion with a slightly drowsy look.

“Well?” he said, patiently waiting for the answer.

“Its nothing,” Kion replied. “Just trying to remember all the objects, tools, and everything else around here.”

Nathan stared at him then looked away thinking. Afterwards, an idea popped up in his head and looked around before landing his eyes at his small cook set and pointed a finger at the pot.

“Do you know what that is?”

Kion looked at his direction and answered with a smile.

   “A cooking pot.

Nathan nodded and pointed at a wooden pole with a strapped horn hanging.

“That’s a coat hanger, from what I can remember,” Kion answered thoughtfully, Nathan nodded in approval and slowly pulled a small, folded picture from the pocket of his pants and sneakily brought it out as the lion isn’t looking.

Nathan silently snickered as he asked Kion without moving his eyes at the young lion.

“Do you still know this?” the boy asked as he unfold the picture. Kion glanced at the picture with the image revealed and looked at him with the answer.

   “Of course, it’s a pict-”

Stopping, the young lion double-take and his eyes widen and his jaw hung down. Nathan laughed upon this as Kion froze there before laying his face as flat as he could in the mattress and covering his face with his paws, his face turning red from embarrassment.

“You still haven’t answered my question.” Nathan said with a teasing smirk. Kion really can’t answer straightly due to what he saw, but muffled it under his paws.

   “It’s….a picture…of me…when I was a cub....wearing a bib….and toddler socks…and sucking on a pacifier…why that picture?

This caused the teen boy to laugh while Kion sunk himself as deep as he could in the bed, really wanted to forget that of all things.

Their fun, or Nathan’s fun, was cut short by some yelling outside, catching their attention. They turned to each other with serious faces and nodded before standing up and marched towards the tent’s flap, Nathan pocketing the picture. When they opened it to the outside, they gasped.
