Wild Legends: Rise of a New Force

Chapter Two

   In the starless night, the crest moon peeks behind the clouds as midnight comes to a close. A forest, as silent as the night itself, lies outside the boarders of a kingdom in the east. The forest is empty and quiet as the night eerily swallows the place in total darkness, nothing but silence...

   It didn't last as passing through the trees, strange, dark creatures dash across the forest in a savage manner, running like wild cats and leaping from tree to tree. Their behaviors can be seen in their aggressive, soulless, mad violet eyes and sharp, menacing teeth and claws. Soon, more began to follow until there are more than 20 of them, all heading to one target.

The Usawa Kingdom.

   Suddenly, something shot from above and crashed to the ground meters from them which brought them in to a stop. Dusts covered the area and whatever crashed in the ground. The waited anxiously and alertly, growling and hissing at what is standing between them and the boarders. As the dusts began to clear, what they saw made them feel more aggressive and more importantly, filled with hatred.

   In front of them are 16 figures, human figures, all geared with shining armor suits as each suit has a different coloration. The only one that is similar is the chest armor with a downward triangle in the center that is embedded with a symbol, a right-hand gauntlet with a helmet slit, nose- guard, and a lower-face mask, and their helmets which are built with black eye lenses in a steel facemask at the facial part while the rest are formed in different shapes and sizes.

   One of them step forth and pointed towards the creatures. The figure has a red colored armor suit with shades of orange in the legs, arms, and at the four, upright points at the sides of the helmet. It then warned them in a male, bold teenage voice.

   "Go back from where you came from or face the consequences," he said under the helmet.

   Instead, the creatures growled at them, ignoring their warning. Soon, their claws began to glow violet and spark violently. The figure, which is the leader, narrowed his eyes within the lenses before going in a battle stance followed by a red energy outlining around him. Soon, the rest followed with their own stance and different energy coming out of them.

   The moon continued illuminating its light in the dark night, shining its ray through a glass door of a dark room. Standing behind the door, looking out at the pleasant night, is a teen at the age of eighteen. His red-orange eyes looked out in the moon in deepness and wonder, letting the light shine down at his light-tanned skin and his short, red hair with a few lose strands at the bangs. Wearing a maroon, long sleeve, buttoned, polo shirt and pajama pants under his warm, blue robe while wearing a pair of soft, cozy slippers on his feet. As he look out, he begin to think of all that had happened to him, his family, friends...

   His friend, the one he hasn't seen for a decade.

   Taking one breath, he looked around the room. He reminded himself that he's in his bedroom, their bedroom. Sleeping peacefully behind the closed canopy bed curtains is a figure of the girl he was destined with, the one he had been ruling the kingdom with for a year now. He smiled softly as he looked at her.

   'The fight in the forest must have worn her out,' He thought before turning to the double door at the other end of the room, walking quietly as he heads to the doors. Once he's in front, he take one last glance at the girl before twisting the handle and sneaking out to the empty, light hallway. He slowly closed the door behind him and began walking down the hallways, turning left, then right, then right again once he was at the stairs with the moon shining through the towering glass windows. He walked down slowly at the stairs, holding to the railings as he go. He didn't suspect that someone else is awake before he heard someone spoke from behind.
