Heroes of Olympus: Thirteen Years Later

Chapter 1

Percy's POV
Okay, so we haven't gone on some adventure together for 13 years, but that all changed last month.

You see, things have changed. A LOT. First, we're all in our late 20's or early 30's. Second, we have jobs. Third, we're all married to our partners (except for Reyna, she decided to stay single) and have children.

Annabeth and I have Anais (9) and Lukas (8). Jason and Piper have Zoey (9) - Thalia named her after the fallen lieutenant of Artemis before her, Frank and Hazel have twins Mary and Emilie (7), Calypso and Leo have Leon (8), Reyna adopted an orphan demigod she found on the streets named Storm (7), and Nico & Will adopted Bianca (6) from an orphanage.

The whole thing started like this:

"Hey, you guys!" Leo said one Argo II crew meetup, "I have an AWESOME idea..."

Before he could finish, Jason, Annabeth, and Calypso asked in unison, "What is it?"

"Is it a good idea?" Jason questioned.

"Yeah, I hope it isn't something dangerous or irrational." Annabeth stated.

"Oh, you know Leo, his ideas have always been a bit... crazy," Calypso continued, " and you can't deny that I would know him better than some of you."

"Okay, okay, guys, give Leo some space! He hasn't even said his idea." I commanded. Everyone obeyed.

"Thanks, Percy. Anyway, my idea is that we go on a road trip with the children, maybe to the beach or something, and go camping," Leo explained, " it is the school holidays."

Hearing the word 'beach', my kids instantly scampered over. The other kids also seemed excited.

"Dad, are we really going to the beach soon?" Anais, who was basically a mini girl version of me with Annabeth's eyes, asked.

I'd love to go to the beach, and I think it's a good idea... right, Mom?" Lukas, the mini boy version of Annabeth with my sea-green eyes, said.

All the other kids started shouting. They want to go on a holiday trip together. Annabeth and I exchanged glances. The look in her eyes said, calm them down first, we will go over the plan, then tell them.

I nodded and went over to Reyna. I told her to get all the children under control and left to go discuss things with the rest.

"So, what's the plan?"

Annabeth, who was already dividing jobs, said, "We go next week on Saturday, and return on Tuesday. Destination: beach."

"Leo's in charge of providing transportation, Frank, Jason, and Percy drive in turns, Calypso will provide food, Will takes care of the children with Hazel, Reyna, Nico, and Piper are on guard duty, and I will be directing the driver. If you can help with anything else, please do. Any questions or objections?"

"Whoa."

"How about us? We wanna help!" Zoey exclaimed.

"You children help pack, ok?"

"Sure!"

And so we decided to go on a road trip.
