Leo's POV
For the last couple of nights, I was assembling a secret project with Calypso. By the way, Calypso is the best assistant a mechanic / engineer could ask for. She had so much free time before I rescued her, she could do basically anything.

"Dear, can you grab the no. 2 wrench?"

"Here. I'm done with the launcher, anything else I can help you with?"

"Assemble the launcher and the body."

"Have you seen- nevermind..."

She does it so many times, yet I still find it funny.

By 8 p.m., it was go time.

"Everyone, we've got a surprise for you! So sit down on the beach and wait." I announced.

All the children sit in front, their parents behind them.

I pressed the button I was holding and sat down too.

BANG! Went the first firework. In mere minutes a sequence of them shot up in the starry night sky.

"Ooh... Ahh..." The children admired. The fireworks animated a scene from the Second Giant War, when we, the Seven teamed up with our godly parents to get rid of the giants.

"Dad! Is that you?" Zoey laughed.

"Yeah, and that's Grandpa, wait, that's your mom!"

The fireworks show lasted for about 45 minutes. After it ended, we all went inside the RV, since we were leaving right there and then.

"Woo! Great show." Percy exclaimed.

"Nice one!"

"That's amazing, calculating all those frames in firework rockets isn't easy."

"It IS pretty cool, huh?"

The children went to bed while Percy and Annabeth took first driving shift. Jason and Piper rested while they can, since they were doing second shift. Frank and Hazel had the third shift, but that didn't really matter, that's tomorrow dawn. The rest of us hung around, talking.

The engines of the RV flared to life. We hit the roads -slowly, since it was really dark in the dense forest we drove through. The headlights WERE helping, but for whatever reason the fog was really thick.

We were literally driving at 30 km/h, and we had way more than 400 km to go. Thankfully the forest didn't extend for too far. After an hour we were out of there, and we were moving at a speed of 55 km/h, almost twice as fast as before.

The road was smooth, the weather was great. The perfect conditions for those who weren't driving to sleep.

Tired from all the sleepless nights I had, working on some project, I just couldn't resist sleeping.

"Thank the gods I don't have a driving shift." I muttered. Well, maybe Annabeth already knew that I didn't get enough sleep.

As soon as my head hit my pillow, I was fast asleep.
