"I dunno why but I'm so nervous." Odell said as he wrapped his arms around his beautiful and sexy girlfriend, Demi.

"Oh, don't be! You've met my family a thousand times before!" Demi rolled her eyes as she put on her big hoop earrings. She wore a cute sun dress for church today and she's going with her family and, obviously, her boyfriend.

"Those are some big ass hoop earrings." Odell chuckled as he looked at his girlfriend on the mirror. He couldn't take his eyes off her beautiful body.

"So beautiful." He whispered through her ear sending shivers down her spine. He stroked her perfectly curved waist as he lightly kissed on her neck.

"Hey guys!" Demi's cheery voice greeted her family as they walked towards the couple.

They all went through their greetings, Demi hugging everyone and Odell doing the same.

"Happy Father's Day, daddy!" Demi said once she got to hug her stepfather, Eddie. He muttered a 'thank you' and kissed her forehead. Odell smiled as they did what they did.

"Let's get inside." Eddie said. His deep voice ringing through everyone's ear when they made too much conversation and catching up. He didn't want to be late.

They all nodded and agreed and went in. Demi had her arms wrapped around her man's arm as they walked, stares were sent their way but they just brushed it off.

The worship went on smoothly. Demi teared up being in the presence of her savior. Demi always got emotional in church. She likes to think that it's because of Jesus that's breaking down her walls for his love to over flow in her.

He was the reason why Demi got help in the first place and decided to get sober again.

"Hey, Dems!" A tall, white guy walked up to Odell and Demi. Odell eyed the guy as they hugged.

"Hey, how you have you been doing?" She replied with a bright smile.

Ever since they got to the church, Demi has had this bright happy mood. That's one of the reasons Odell loves to go to church, he wants to see that genuine happy smile on her face all the time.

"And now, we have a special performance!" The speaker for the sunday announced and everyone's attention went to the man on stage.

"As we know it's Father's day and we have a special performance from the kids today!" Everyone cheered and clapped as the kids and their fathers went up the stage. The music started and they started to dance with their fathers.

Everyone watched in awe as the church's dads and their daughters dance ballroom style and got a little goofy on stage.

"Mama!" A girl loudly says and everyone's attention went to her. She had tear tracks down her face and her mom ran up to her trying to pull her closer but she just ran away from her to the front of the stage.

She pointed at the kids and dads performing on stage and gave a broken look to her mama.

"Where my dada?" Her lip trembled and tears flowed down her cute tinted cheeks.

Everyone watched in pure sympathy. Odell intently watched the drama go on and thought about it in his mind before he went up to the kid.

"Hey princess." He said as he tapped her shoulder. The little girl looked up with the most broken look. Odell's heart melted and he wanted to tear up when he saw her face.

"Let's dance!" He covered his sympathy for her and plastered a smile as the girl took his hand.

They goofily dance with the others, having the center of attention as they do. Once the kid got the hang of it, she started laughing and smiling at Odell as they dance. The girl adored him already.

Demi couldn't help but smile and let her heart flutter at the moment. She was asking God if she should be marrying this man and if he's the right one for her. And this situation was the perfect moment.

She knew God had just answered her.

And it was a yes.

so this actually happened to me. this was years ago but we were performing and this kid cried coz his dad is in a different state. my dad took action and the three of us danced goofily on stage. it was cute.
