Naruto's POV

Days turned into week and weeks turned into months. I hadn't seen or heard from her since that day. Everyday I waited at the beach at the exact same spot hoping she would come and surprise me out of the blue.

But she never came.

I aimlessly stared at the glistening ocean and watched as the dark clouds started to roll in. I closed my eyes for a moment and heard a pair of approaching footsteps that were coming to my right. I immediately opened my eyes and the corner of my lips twitched upwards.

"(Y/n)-" I turned my head, but my smile faltered when I was met with a fist to my right cheek. I stumbled and fell to the ground, but was then lifted off the ground by the collar of my shirt.

"Where is she?! What the hell did you do to her?!" Spat out a black haired man with piercing onyx eyes, but I grabbed his wrist and pushed him away from me.

"I don't know what the hell you're talking about you crazy bastard!"

The guy was about to grab me again, but I lunged at him and tackled him to the ground. I hovered over his body with my hand balled into a fist, prepared to throw down a fist if I had to.

"Naruto Uzumaki, right?!" He angrily shouted and I raised a brow at him.

"Yeah? What do you want?" I asked.

"My father warned your father once to stay away from (Y/n), yet you didn't listen! So, where is she?!"

"What are you taking about?!"

"My wife, (Y/n)! She's gone missing!"

"W-What?" I stuttered as the grip I had on him started to loosen and my eyes grew wide.

'(Y/n) is...gone...?'

He pushed me off of him and ran his hand through his raven hair in distress.

"You're involved in this aren't you?!" He questioned but I rapidly shook my head since this was the first I heard of this. This was the man she was married to

"I didn't know she was missing! I thought...she just didn't want to see me again..."

"She had to have mentioned something! Did she really not tell you anything?" He desperately asked me, but I shook my head as my mind continued to repeat those three words.

She's gone missing.

The raven haired man paced back and forth before he turned to face me and asked, "When was the last time you saw her?"

I scratched my whiskered cheek as I tried estimating how long it has been. "Hmm...two months ago? Yeah two months ago, but it was odd because she came...crying to me that night..."

My voice died down at the end as a light bulb went off inside my head. The image of her tear stained face and the way she clutched her stomach flashed before my eyes and the sound of her voice cracking echoed in my head.

"H-he....he...."

My eyes slowly widened as I stared at the onyx eyed man that stood before me and I lifted my hand and accusingly pointed a finger at me.

"You....you did something to her that night." A flare of rage erupted inside me now knowing what he had done to her and I roughly grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and raised my voice at him. "You're the reason she's gone! Why (Y/n)?! Why the hell did you do that to her?!"

"To make her mine!"

"You forced yourself onto her!"

We ended up beating each other into a pulp with blood staining our hands and faces, but I threw the last punch as payback for what he had done to (Y/n) and left him lying there to writhe in pain.

After finding out she was missing, I endlessly searched for her and asked around, but no one had seen her or even knew her. An idea came across my mind and I whipped out my phone and looked through my contacts, but soon deadpanned as I realized something.

"I'm such an idiot...I never even got her number..." I smacked my forehead and placed my phone back int my pocket before continuing. It was difficult to find a lead on her. She hardly spoke to anyone and if she did, then I would've tracked her down already.

A part of me hoped that she had decided to run away and live the life she always wanted without being confined in marriage. But...I guess the only thing I found the hardest to accept was the fact that it didn't include me...

I wasn't in the picture.

If I was then maybe she would've asked me to come with her, but she disappeared almost as if she were a figment of my imagination.

I experienced love and I experienced loss, but it's a pity that they both came at the same with her.

I wish I could've held her that day

If only I could've met you sooner

After she left, life has to carry on

Signs of her existence were gradually wiped away

Those distant and fine moments of youth had turned into fading memories that slowly withered away.

From a distance, I solemnly glanced at the vibrant ocean before my azure eyes traveled over to nothing but an empty spot in the sand. A mirage of her figure appeared and she twirled around to face me with a cheeky smile, but that image was gone in the blink of an eye and I was left with nothing. A disheartened sigh escaped my lips before I shoved my hands into the pockets of my orange sweats and walked away from the one place that served as a memory where everything started and ended.
