Without You

Preeta woke up due to sunrays falling on her. She was confused that how she got into bed.  Then she remembered last night incident. 

Preeta(to herself): kitni fikr hai us ko meri..aur mein humesha usse larti rehti hoon...

It was the day when karan had to go. But as usual he was sleeping, not paying attention what's happening around him. And as always, preeta came to wake him up.

Preeta: karan, uth jao....nahi tu tumhe dair ho jaye gi....

Karan: yr kya tum mujhe subah subah uthane aajati ho....at least mujhe sukoon se sone tu diya kro...

Preeta: mujhe koi shauq nahi hai tumhe uthana ka....wo tu tum late ho jao ge is liye..

Karan: acha mein arha hoon,, tum jao...

Preeta(in mind): yeh aise nahi manega...

Preeta came near his bed and pulled down his duvet.

Karan wakes up and turned to her.

He said: preeta, yeh kya badtameezi hai?

Preeta was laughing and she said: mein ne kaha tha k uth jao...lekin tum nahi uthe..tu yeh krna para...

Karan was so irritated by this.

Preeta: mein ja rhi hoon, ajana..

She started to leave when karan held her hand..

Preeta: kya hai? Choro mera haath..

Karam smirked and pulled her towards him.

Karan: bohot khush ho aaj? Mein ja rha hoon is liye?

Preeta: haan, yehi wajah hai....at least mujhe irritate krne wala koi nahi hoga...

Karan(flirts): lekin mujhe aise subah itni beautiful smile kese miligi?

Preeta chuckles: yeh flirting na tum wahan ja k krna..mere sath nahi....

Karan: aur agar mein kahun k mein flirt nahi kr rha...serious hun tu?

Preeta: tu mujhe koi farq nahi parta....
Tum jo bhi socho..

Karan: yeh tu jab tumhe yahan rehna pare ga na, preera arora, tab tumhe samajh aye gi....

She looked him and for a moment it seemed that whatever he said was true.

Preeta(not looking to him): mein ja rhi hoon,,,tayar ho k aajana....

She left from there leaving him confused

Karan(in mind): yeh larki itna confuse krti hai mujhe.....kabhi kuch nahi batati...

He left to get ready and then came downstairs.

After having breakfast, it was time of his flight.

Rakhi: karan, abhi bhi ja beta...kitni dair lagata hai tayar hone mein..

Karan: mom, tayar tu ho gya na...aur wese bhi flight ka time ho rha hai...

Sarla: beta, tum yahan nahi hoge tu yeh ghar bohot khaali lagega...

Karan: ma, mein aap ko guarantee k sath kehta hoon, keh preeta k yahan hote howe yeh ghar kabhi khaali lag hi nahi skta....

Rakhi: ab jaate howe tu usse kuch mat kaho..

Karan: mom ap tension na lijiye....mazak mein chalta hai sab....

His eyes were only searching preeta...

Karan: wese wo dumbo hai kahan?
Abhi tu yahin thi...

Sarla: wo kitchen ki taraf gyi hai...

Karan: mein aata hoon....

He left from there and went towards her. He saw that she was lost in some thoughts. He immediately realized that what was troubling her.

He went and hugged her. At first she was shocked but she hugged him back.

Karan(chuckles): pagal, mujhe nahi pata tha k preeta arora pareshan hone walon mein se hai...balke wo tu pareshan krne walon mein se hai...

Preeta chuckles and looked to him.

Karan: aur mujhe yeh bhi nahi pata tha k babydoll ro bhi skti hai...

Preeta didn't say anything because she wanted to this moment to last forever.

Karan touched her face and said: preeta arora, yr tum yeh chahti ho k mein khushi se na jaon?

Preeta: nahi...mein khush hoon..

Karan: wo tu nazar a rha hai...

Preeta: fine...promise me that you'll call me everyday?

Karan(chukles): promise...

Karan: aur haan, dekh k chalna....mein nahi hoon ga yahan tumhe thamne k liye..

Preeta laughs and said: dekh k chalon gi..

Karan just looked at her, admiring her.

Karan: aur aise hi hasti rehna...

Preeta: theek ha...jese tum keh rhe ho wesa hi kroon gi..

Karan came close to her and took her hands and kissed it.

Preeta looked at him.
Karan smiled and said: khayal rakhna apna....bye..

Preeta: bye...tum bhi apna khayal rakhna double duffer donkey...

They laughed and he left after bidding goodbye to everyone.

Preeta(in her room): pata nahi yeh saal kese guzre ge? Karan, tum kiun gye yahan se?....

Karan(in mind): I know preeta k tum kya chahti ho....lekin I'm sorry mera yahan aana zaroori tha....nahi tu mein tumhe kabhi akela chor k na jaata....

Preeta went towards her bed and laid down...

Karan too laid back in his flight...

That night those two souls never slept..thinking about each other....
