It was now evening and was time of the engagement. The hall was decorated beautifully and everyone were gathered in the hall.

Rakhi: karan, aaj mein bohot khush hoon beta..

Sarla: sach mein rakhi g, itne dinon baad humare ghar mein khushi ayi hai...

Karan smiled.

Mahira's mom was also there.

Rakhi: ab waqt ho gya hai sagai ka..

She went and brought Mahira.

They were standing next to each other.

And it was time for exchanging rings.

Rakhi gave the ring to karan and said.

'Yeh le...mahira ko ring pehna de'..

Karan(in mind): you have to do it karan,

He slid the ring and looked at preeta who was at verge of crying.

Karan(in mind): is ko pyar nahi tu aur kya kahogi preeta?

Mahira called him and he came back to senses.

She slid the ring in his finger and everyone congratulated them. In the midst of all this, preeta ran to her room but shristi saw it.

In the room preeta sat on bed and started crying.

Preeta: mujhe tu khush hona chahiye k karan apni nayi life shuru krne ja rha hai..lekin phir yeh dard kiun hai?

Shristi: kiun k aap un se pyar krti hain di..

Preeta saw her and wiped her tears.

Preeta: aisa kuch nahi hai shristi...

Shristi: acha?? Tu phir aap jhoot bol rhe ho ya yeh aankhein..

Preeta looked at her and said: saaf saaf bol...kya kehna chahti hai...

Shristi: aap maan kiun nahi lete di..k ap karan sir ko kisi aur k saath nahi dekh skte...

Preeta: mujhe koi farq nahi parta k wo jis k saath bhi ho..

She looked back and saw karan standing at the door. They shared an eyelock.

Shristi too saw him and he nodded his head.

She went from there leaving them alone.

Preeta turned her face. He start walking towards her and backhugged her, holding her by waist.

Karan: aise oper kiun chali ayi?

Preeta: aise hi..

Karan: dard ho rha hai yeh soch kr keh meri life mein ab koi aur agya hai...

Preeta: mujhe koi farq nahi parta...

He came more close to her that she could feel his breath and she closed her eyes, feeling that moment.

Karan caressed her face and whispered: tu phir yeh aansu kiun hai babydoll?

Preeta: aank mein kuch chala gya tha...tumhe ghalat fehmi hui hai..

Karan: kahin mujh se pyar tu nahi krne lagi preeta?

He tucked her hair aside and kissed her neck. Both were feeling that moment that none of them knew what they were doing was right or wrong.

But preeta came in senses and she turned and tried to go away from there but karan held her by waist and pulled her closer. Their faces were inches apart.

Karan: mere sawal ka jawab do preeta..

Preeta: aisa kuch bhi nahi hai...

Karan: acha? Tu kya kabhi tum ne kisi ko apne itne qareeb ane diya hai?

Preeta was lost in him.

Karan: agar pyar nahi krti tu mein is waqt tumhare itne qareeb kese hoon preeta? Tum kuch bhi mehsoos nahi kr rhi? 

He caressed her face and she felt it. Karan smirked seeing his effect on her.

Preeta: karan..kya kr rhe ho..

Karan: kya tumhe mere touch krne se kuch feel nahi howa? He caressed her arms.

She clenched her hands. But the thing was she too wanted him to be with her. To be in his arms forever.

Karan(whispered in her ear): kuch mehsoos howa?

Tears were flowing from her eyes. He saw and kissed her there.

Preeta opened her eyes and was just lost in him.

Karan(softly): yeh dil bhi kitna ajeeb hai na preeta? Sab kuch samajhte howe bhi anjaan hai.

Jese k tum abhi sab kuch samajhte howe is ehsaas ko anjaana kr rhi ho..

He kissed her forehead and left.

Preeta sat on floor and his words were ringing in her ears.

The event went well and everyone were in their rooms.

Preeta was lying at her bed.

Karan aur preeta ko koi alag nahi kr skta

Apna khayal rakho kro na

Kabhi mere ilawa kisi aur ko itne qareeb ane diya hai

Tum se door rehna impossible hai mere liye, babydoll

'Di', shristi shook her.

She came out of senses and said: kya hai? Kiun chilla rhi hai?

Shristi: kab se aawazein diye ja rhi hoon...

Preeta: bol, kya kehne ayi hai?

Shristi: aap karan sir k baare mein soch rhe the na?

Preeta: nahi..

Shristi: kab tk chupao ge di? Akhir pyar krna jurm tu nahi hai na...

Preeta: ab agar is k baad tune is baat ka zikr bhi kiya na tu dekh lena..

Shristi: theek hai...nahi krun gi...lekin yaad rakhna....itna bhi anjaan na bane k baad mein pachtawe k ilawa aap k paas kuch na ho...

Saying this she slept and preeta too dozed off.

Karan writing a diary.

Kehte hain pyar mein sab kuch jayz hai..lekin agar is ki shart us ko rulaane mein hai..tu phir shayad pyar ki qeemat hi yehi hai...aur mujhe aaj yeh bohot mehengi pari...

Aaj us ki aankhon mein aansu aaye, wo bhi meri wajah se. Lekin mujhe aise krna para..agar na krta tu shayad wo kabhi samajh hi na paati k hamare darmiyan kya hai? Lagta hai ab usse bhi ehsaas hone laga hai...aur sab bohot jald theek hone wala hai. Aaj nahi tu kabhi na kabhi to hoga hi...

Us ki khushi se barh kr mere liye kuch bi nahi hai..wo hansti hai tu aisa lagta hai keh ab aur koi gham mere paas nahi aye ga...jab wo mujhe apne dil ki baat batati hai...tu dil chahta hai k usse wo saari khushiyan de doon jis ki wo haqdar hai..jab us ko chot lagti hai ti dard mujhe hota hai...jab wo roti hai tu aansu meri aankhon mein ajate hain...lekin us ko kabhi nahi dekhaaye.
Us ko is duniya k har dard se door rakhna chahta hoon...isi liye jo wo kehti hai...sab kr deta hoon...

Sirf is liye k wo meri zindagi hai. Aur apni zindagi k liye mein kuch bhi kr skta hoon.
