Can't Lose You

Preeta opened her eyes and saw her mother sitting beside her.

Sarla: beta...tu theek hai...

Preeta: haan ma..ap ko dekh liya hai na..ab mein theek hoon...

Sarla: kitni baar kaha hai...dekh k chala kr..

Preeta: ma mera pair slip ho gya...pata nahi kese....

Karan was standing at corner and listening all this.

Karan: sarla ma,,,ap jaye...mom bhi ghar mein hai...mein hoon yahan pr..

Sarla: nahi beta,,,ap sari raat kese guzaro ge yahan...mein ruk jaati hoon

Karan: nahi ma...mein is k liye kuch bhi kr skta hoon...ap jaye

Sarla: preeta, beta ab tu theek hai na?

Preeta: 100% fine hoon ma...ap jaye...

Sarla: theek hai...karan, beta apna khayal rakhna..

Karan: ap fikr mat kijiye ma...

She left and karan went to her.

He came near her and kissed her forehead.

He sat beside her and held her hand.

Karan: mana babydoll k jab tum girti ho, mein tumhe thaam leta hoon..lekin is ka matlab yeh tu nahi..keh humesha tumhaare saath hoon...

Preeta chuckled.

Preeta: tumhe ne tu kaha tha k tum mere saath ho..

Karan chuckled and said: pagal ho tum

They both laughed.

Karan(tearfully): kese hua yeh sab preeta? Tumhe pata hai na mein tumhe takleef mein nahi dekh skta...I can't lose you...

Preeta: areyy...kaha na pair slip ho gya...

Karan(in tears): ab theek ho? Kahin dard tu nahi ho rha...

Preeta: haan karan, mein bilkul theek hoon..tum kiun tension le rhe ho?

Karan: apni zindagi ko koi chot puhnche...tu dard tu hota hai na babydoll...

Tear fell from her eye and she looked at him.

Karan: kitna darr gya tha mein preeta...tumhe pata hai na...mein ne hamesha tumhe har takleef, har dard se bachaya hai....aur aaj tumhe is tarah dekh k mujhe bohot takleef hui hai preeta...meri hi ghalti hai..mujhe tumhara khayal rakhna chahiye tha...

Preeta(in tears) wiped his tears and said: yeh aansu is chehre pr ache nahi lagte....

Karan chuckled and tucked her hair behind.

Karan: ab aaram kro tum, babydoll. Mein yahan hi hoon..

Preeta smiled and closed her eyes, holding his hand.

Karan smiled at her gesture. He looked at her and every part of him ached.

Karan: I'm and I will be there with you, always and forever.

He gradually dozed off.

Next morning she woke up and saw karan sitting beside her.

He too woke up and said: uth gyi ho tum? Ab kesi tabiyat hai?

Preeta: bilkul theek hoon..

Karan: aaj tumhe discharge mil jaye ga....ghar ja skti ho...

Preeta: shukar hai...

Karan: ma ka phone aya tha...wo aane wali thi lekin mein ne mana kr diya...
