Days passed by and they all were preparing for his engagement. While preeta was getting restless day by day. Everytime she saw him with Mahira, she got hurt, as if the sight was piercing her heart.

One day she was at terrace, remembering all the moments she spent with karan. Suddenly she felt someone backhugging her but she didn't turned.

Karan: kal tum ready rehna babydoll...meri engagement mein meri dost sab se achi lagni chahiye....tum ne saari shopping krli hai na....

Preeta: haan..krli hai..

He felt something different in her voice. He turned her and saw that she was crying. The mere sight pierced him. How he could see his girl crying, and that too because of him.

Karan lifted her chin up and said: tum ro rhi ho preeta?

Preeta didn't respond.

He raised his hands to wipe her tears but she hugged him tightly. He was shocked but hugged her back.

Karan(tensed): babydoll...kya howa hai...tum kiun ro rhi ho? Dekho mujhe bohot tension ho rhi hai....

Preeta(crying): karan,,mein tum se door nahi jana chahti....plz khud ko mujh se door na kro...

He broke the hug and cupped her face.

Karan: heyy....kon tumhe mujh se door kr rha hai...haan? Meri babydoll ko mujh se koi alag nahi kr skta...samjhi?

Preeta: lekin tum tu kal engagement kr rhe ho na....tu

Karan: tu kya? ....tum idhar ho...mein yahan hoon....

Preeta: tum samajh kiun nahi rhe ho karan? Tum ek naya rishta banane ja rhe ho...tu mein tu tum se door ho hi jaon gi na...

She realized what she said.

Karan(lost in her): tum samjha kr tu dekho...kya pata mein samajh jaon...

She looked into his eyes but didn't replied.

Karan came close to her and kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes and tears flowed down.

Karan: bohot ache se jaanta hoon mein tumhe preeta...ek baat kehna chahta hoon....jo bhi dil mein hota hai...use keh dena chahiye...

Preeta nodded in yes.

Karan: acha ab chalo...aur ek baat yaad rakna...preeta aur karan ko koi bhi alag nahi kr skta...

Saying this he left while she thought.

Preeta: mein karan k baare mein itna soch rhi hoon....us k bina ek pal nahi reh pa rhi...dil chahta hai k bas wo mere aas pass rhe...meri isi tarah care kre..

'Tu phir aap un ko bata kiun nahi deti sab', a voice came from behind.

Preeta turned and said, 'shristi'..

She came and hugged her.

Preeta: tu kab ayi?

Shristi: abhi...jab aap karan sir ko wo sab kuch keh the...aap kiun nahi un ko bata deti sab...

Preeta: kya bata deti shristi?

Shristi: yehi k aap un se pyar krti hain...

Preeta looked at her and said: kesi baatein kr rhi hai tu?

Shristi: aap ek dafa apne dil se poochye...ap ko jawab mil jaye ga...

Preeta: tu bhi na pata nahi kya bolti rehti hai...chal neeche....sab se mil...

They both left.

Sarla: tu kab ayi? Aur bataya bhi nahi..

Shristi: ma, parhai khatam hui aur mein a gyi..
