'OH, COME ON, Morgan! It's so obvious!'

Morgan blushed while she sipped from her Marvelous Macchiato, surrounded by Oliver, Miles and Ellie. She loved her friends, with all her heart, but sometimes they could be so annoying. Right now was one of those moments. All because Morgan was less confident than any of them, she was easiest to tease.

'Look, she's blushing!' Ellie cooed.

'I'm going to shove you of a bridge one day,' Morgan mumbled embarrassed.

Oliver smiled. 'You didn't deny it! I knew it!'

'You two would be really cute together,' Miles mentioned. 'I know I'm not the best when it comes to dating, hell, I'll probably end up alone with a few dogs, which would be totally fine, by the way. I mean, I love dogs!'

'Do you think Peter likes her, too?' Ellie asked Oliver while she drank from her tea.

'Duh!' Oliver exclaimed. 'First of all, he'd be a fucking moron not to. Second, are you blind? He blushes every time any of us mention her name, if he can choose a place to sit he either chooses to sit next to Morgan or Shuri makes him, he always rambles around her...'

'Yeah, about Shuri,' Morgan interrupted Oliver, 'how about you two, Ellie?'

Ellie groaned and hid her face in her hands, just like how she always did when she would be embarrassed.

'I may or may not really like her,' Ellie eventually chose to say.

'I believe you owe me 12 bucks, O,' Miles told his friend.

The blond sighed, but handed the money over to the Asian. 'Really, Ellie? You couldn't have waited one day with confessing?'

'You made a bet over that?' Morgan scoffed. 'I'd say that she wouldn't even confess it, but just one day show up at school with Shuri as her girlfriend.'

'You're the worst friends ever.'

It went like this most of the time. Morgan would get teased, she would lead the subject to one of the other friends and eventually they had fun. It was nice. The familiarity of how they hung out was something Morgan loved, especially now, with the threats and guilt and pressure going on. It made her feel like home again.

'Back to Morgan and Peter,' Oliver said to Morgan's annoyance. 'How are we going to set them up?'

'I can hear you,' Morgan told Oliver.

'Maybe we could ask Tony!' Miles proposed.

Ellie shook her head. 'You know how he is, he'd probably first interrogate Peter and nearly kill him.'

'That's my dad you're talking about,' Morgan said offended.

'Then you, out of all people, should know that Ellie's right,' Miles responded wittily. 'We could ask Steve!'

'Yeah, no. He's old,' Oliver told his friend while he thought.

Morgan looked up. 'Hey!'

'I got it!'

Everyone looked expectantly at Ellie.

'How about, one time, during a lunch break, we just all leave and let Morgan and Peter alone. But we don't tell Morgan before, because I know she's going to flee before any of us do. Or... You guys have a free period on Mondays, right? Maybe you could leave them then, there will also be fewer people in the cafetaria then.'

'Sounds like a plan!'

'Hold up, I don't-'

'Shush, Morgan, you won't be lonely anymore!'

'That I'm alone doesn't mean I'm lonely!' Morgan exclaimed. 'I'm single and I'm very happy without all the love drama.'

'Anyway, let's quit teasing Morgan,' Ellie said to Morgan's relief. 'How's the rest of your family?'

Morgan smiled gratefully to Ellie. 'Dad is still working behind the curtains for S.H.I.E.L.D.. Doesn't want to be in the field, though. Other dad is still busy with the company. There's Nat, who's also busy with S.H.I.E.L.D. stuff. The others are kind of gone. We don't know where Bruce, Vision and Wanda are. I kinda miss them.'

'Why did they leave?' Miles asked curiously.

'Well,' Morgan began, 'I wouldn't know. Dads don't want to really involve me in the whole "family-issue." They don't want me to look at them differently.'

'I wish I had your family,' Ellie thought out loud.

There was a silence again in which Ellie sipped from her Thrilling Tea. She didn't like coffee, that's why she always got tea. Miles always drank an Amazing Americano for some reason. Morgan once tried it, but she didn't really like it much. Oliver got his Carefree Capuccino which apparently worked as Oliver never worried about things.

'Well, given Ellie just perfectly ruined the good mood, again,' Oliver told the blue-haired girl, 'there's no choice but to let Miles break the ice with one of his extremely bad jokes.'

'Any categories?' Miles asked.

'Try the Avengers,' Morgan smiled.

Miles thought for a minute. 'What does Hawkeye wear to a gala? A bow tie!'

Morgan slammed her head against the table, Ellie sighed and Oliver didn't even flinch.

'You made a terrible mistake,' Ellie told Oliver.

Then suddenly the song The Chain by Fleetwood Mac began playing. Three of the friends sighed embarrassed while Morgan got her phone out of her pocket. Her heart stopped for a split second the moment she saw the name on the screen. Why would Peter be calling her? Morgan looked up at her friends.

'It's Peter,' the brunette noticed.

'Great!' Oliver exclaimed while he took Morgan's phone out of her hands. He answered the call. 'Hey, Pete! Whaddup?'

After a short silence Oliver gave Morgan her phone back. 'Apparently it's for you.'

Morgan chuckled. 'Yeah? Would you think so?' The brunette took the phone from her friend and held it close by her ear. 'Hey, Peter.'

'Hi, Morgan!' Peter chuckled. 'It's Peter. Which you obviously know already, because you have my number and all, but I think it has to do with being polite and all to say who's calling and all, which is really weird, but yeah. I'm rambling again.'

'You are,' Morgan confirmed, smiling because she heard Peter's voice.

'Anyway. Shuri and I were kind of bored and we were wondering- No- Shuri, don't-' Peter said, but there was a lot going on in the background.

'Hi, Morgan! This is Shuri,' Shuri suddenly said through the phone. 'Mind giving me Ellie, Oliver or Miles?'

'I mean, sure,' Morgan responded a bit questioning. She turned to her friends. 'Shuri wants to talk to one of you.'

Miles had already taken the phone. Morgan eyed him warily, but he didn't care.

'Hey, Shuri!' Miles greeted.

'Ah, dear friend Miles,' Shuri said without any of the other friends hearing her. 'You see, as you probably noticed, Peter and Morgan are kind of crushing on each other, so my plan was- Shut up, Parker! Anyway, we just wanted to come over and kind of set up both of them. Where are you now?'

'We're at The Late Bird. You can't miss us,' Miles responded.

Shuri grew happy. 'Great! We'll be there in five! Bye, Miles!'

Then she hung up.
